Re: 500GB tivo
I'm seriously thinking about getting one of these. I couldn't really justify the cost of the 1Tb and don't really keep recordings that long that I'd need that space but £50 for the mini TiVo and £40 for activation is pretty tempting.... now how to persuade my other half;)

this is biggy (not for bugs) but for the fact that only flash based lower quality content can be shown. |

The only way in the future that I would end up with TiVo is a change in policy where any replacement boxes would be TiVo only! I would love to know people's opinion's on this matter. |

Sorry cannot find the direct quote but Cindy Rose says it the next few years they want the entire TV base to be on TiVo, this would make comerical sense on two levels 1. No support require for legacy TV software solutions 2. Probable migration from mpeg2 to mpeg4 (think of how many ours of HD recordings your could get on you PVR then;)) VM keep telling us we don't own the boxes so they can do what they like to an extent. PS I am not angling for a free upgrade, I am just happy with the box and service that I have got and at present have no intension of paying any upgrade/installation fee! |

At £89.95, all inclusive of lifetime maintenance, the small TiVo is a snip. |
Re: 500GB tivo
