I'm not sure if its intentional or not but I tried downloading 3 games via xbox live at the weekend at different times and downloads were absolutely crawling down, I would say on a par with my old BT 2 meg connection.

I used to be able to download a 1 gig demo in about 6 or 7 minutes, now after 5 minutes a 1.06 Gig demo reaches 4% so I just cancel it and found something smaller.

One can only presume VM are really restricting this now.

Could just be due to congestion.

I get Infinity installed next month and will be running both side by side and cancel the one which performs worst. (wonder which one?)

Possible I suppose but it didn't feel like it, everything else felt ok, web pages loading ok, wife gaming on laptop with no issues.

Now you mention it, I did notice when I went to watch a HD trailer the xbox returned a message about insufficient bandwidth or something along those lines.

I wouldn't mind trying Infinity just out of curiosity but not an option at the moment, let us know how you get on pip.

Will do. Install is set for 4th April, only real reason I've gone for it is the free line install (worth £130) and the increased upload as that matters more than download for my uses.

Fair enough and I wont argue with the fact that many may well complain on the official forums, but from my experience when host, I frequently get chance to return fire when being shot in the back, and frequently say to myself "they should have killed me easily", maybe that's just lag on their part, I dunno.

I can only comment on my own experience.

Depends what game mode you're playing. In hardcore, unless the player is extremely crap, their first or 2nd shot will kill you before you get chance.

In core, it takes 3 or more depending on their accuracy, so you'll get more chance to do that i suppose.
