Re: 50mb install, power levels out? not affecting anything so far...
on the speedtest.new website, the london server is sometimes the bbmax one. if you look in the loading bar at the bottom it says transferring data to bbmax etc. but sometimes it says trancefm mmmm they are 2 different servers definitley, they have different addresses and my ping is different to them, either way, they are both capable of 50 meg. the bbmax website is just the london speedtest.net server with a different interface.
either way. to finish this thread off, my beautiful baby is fixed!! http://www.speedtest.net/result/1161619362.png http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/res...171&v=12143988 just my ping and jitter needs lowering now :'( |

sorted ping and jitter issues, i re- routed the coax and phone cables, removed the extra cabling the engineer had left which was in a loop under the stairs, had to put new f connectors on but ping and jitter a hell of a lot lower now :) im very very very happy woohooo!!!!!!!

seriously, i cnt beleive it. i dont know whether it was the f connectors (cant see it being that) or whether the coils of wires were causing interference. There was about 10 metres of coiled phone cabling, and 3 metres of coax, iv trimmed it down now and all is better. iv also noticed that the upstream channel has changed from 6 to 5 maybe thats the difference im seeing. either way my ping test have gone from the regein 50-70ms ping and 40ms jitter, to 25ish ping and 10ish jitter
