dude good luck man i tried calling fifteen mins after making the order and they told me it couldnt be cancelled cos its in transit. wtf!! so now i gotta wait and not sign for it when u.p.s deliver then call on monday morning and arrange to have an HD one sent out. grrrrrrr so bloody frustrating, would help if their foreign sales staff actually knew what the phones were and could understand my bloody scottish accent! good luck buddy hope you get a better result than me man.

Unfortunately I had the same answer they gave you! Refuse to sign tomorrow and call in again! This is a joke! Im fuming now... Also spent 30 mins + 20 mins on the phone and I even get charged for that! Mate if you are at sales should know what to sell! :mad:

hmmmm strange one. seem to be getting lots of mixed info as i was told that it would be released on the 20th and delivered by the 21st. why would they release it on crimbo eve when no one can get it delivered to them until the 27th at the earliest? bit odd to say the least. VM's head of marketing really should be sacked as they truely dont have a clue how to sell anything. i get the feeling they've put some dodgey second hand car dealer in charge....terry tibbs perhaps :)

I had a good chat with the agent as I decided to go with my original choice of the N8 instead and I was on the phone for around 45 minutes and she told me her emails said the HD was to be released on Monday 21/12 and the likely sent out to customer day was the 24th via next day delivery via courier.

I think I was always going to get the N8 as it has everything I use on my 5800 and every other person in work has a HTC so went with my heart.

But for anyone wanting the HTC Desire HD ring up Monday 20/12 regardless of what the stock situation on the website says and get your phone ordered.

Unlimited texts 1 GB of web phone coming tomorrow will it have anddroid 2.2?

Yes i think so, it won't have 2.3 gingerbread on it.

Although 2.3 has been released, HTC will have to lay HTC Sense over the top of it and then test. After that the Desire HD should get 2.3. But for now it'll have FroYo(2.2) on it.

I've had mine for about 3 weeks now and it's nothing short of brilliant, I upgraded from a Nokia 5800 and was considering the N8, really glad I went with the DHD.

BTW, just to clear up any confusion, I'm with 02, not Virgin.

I have just started using this phone (T-Mobile) and have to say, its an absolute joy to use, i had the Standard Desire previously which was excellent, but this is even better :)

Hi Andrew,
have you checked your email to see which handset you going to get? Because myself as some other users on this forum have called in to order the Desire HD but than received just a Desire! Hope you got the right one...
I have called them now for the third time and the phone is out of stock and can be ordered just from the 24th with delivery on the first week of January! Which wouldnt be ok as Im travelling on the 31th and want to take the mobile with me.
This is very frustating and I have lost money and time beyond this. The operator is going to call me back on the 24th but if she cant promise me the phone to be delivered by the 30th than I'm going to get the mobile from elsewhere.

called VM today was informed there is no date for the release off the htc desire hd asked when it is due in, the operative could not give me a time scale except due in before the end off December this is getting ridiculous does anyone no if there is a definite date for release:confused:
