In terms of pros (and they are often very simple)
1. Lights up when I pick it up.
2. Supports time sllip on my DVD/HDD recorder to skip adverts.
3. Is incredibly light in the hand.
4. Can learn from other remotes.
5. Supports commands that operate differently when the keys are held down.

Cons (and they are minor)

1. Cannot use alias keys from other devices (unless anyone wants to tell me otherwise).
2. Is quite expensive (although it is a gadget).
3. Activities can be awkward especially when a device only supports power toggle as opposed to seperarate on/off commands.

I am a past user of a Phillips Pronto U980 that I use as a mega database of all remotes I have ever used and used it to program the odd key to the Harmony.

I loved the Pronto's ability to allow programming of any touch key to do anything.

I believe this is a back end software issue and await its implementation on the Harmony One.

Otherwise a damn fine product.

Are you trying to say add a button from your TV remote onto you V+ remote? If so you can, I use the '+' and 'E' keys when in V+ mode to control the lights in my house, very useful.

Yep. I have bought the GF one for Xmas. It will be interesting to add the female factor into the subject. I suspect:

1.Not enough buttons for all my devices.
2.Bloody thing lights up every time I move it.
3.What's the E button for..........
4.Do they do it in yellow?

I know I am not alone........:)

It's the opposit for me, I have set it up so that it is really easy to use. After all it replaces about 6 remotes. Wifey finds it really easy to use but hasn't the foggiest on how to set it up.

I think I will have to do some tutorials. My Harmony One replaces 11 remotes so its a bit of a learning curve.

Re: Logitech Harmony

Did you check compatibility on Logitech's site? If it is compatible then it should have the controls in database.

Have you tried adding your V+ as the Samsung SMT-H3110 (Model number for the Samsung V+) it's also in the Harmony database & may work better?

I`ve been using a Harmony 885 for about three years (with sky at first) to control my sammy v+ box, tv and yammy reciever without any issues. Well apart from having to do the glue job on the buttons when they stop working haha (but is is old now). I did have it controlling lights in the old house, but haven`t gotten around to fixing it up as yet in the new one. Harmony CS are top notch too should you ever need them.

The coloured buttons may need to be re-learnt. I put the V+ function on a redundant button, and it works fine. It`s been a while since I set mine up, so I cannot remember where all the adding/adjusting menus are on the Harmony software, sorry mate.
