Oh I know the drill :) That's why I said I am hoping!

At the end of the day it is for the box downstairs which I hardly use! It's just my mother who goes on about how slow and unresponsive it is. :(

I've also had it reboot whilst watching an HD recording if I leave the "live" tuner on an HD channel.
When the engineer upgraded my broadband to 50mb last week he said I should have the SA swapped out asap if I'm watching mainly high def. Has anyone with a Samsung had reboots with HD channels? I don't want to have the hassle of changing if the Sammy has similar issues with multiple HD programmes.
Or should I wait for TiVo and a larger disc next year?

My SA box downstairs did that when we got all the new HD channels and it was very frustrating, it seemed to happen typically on ITVHD with the footy that was shown at the time. Luckily, I have another SA box upstairs which is connected to a non HD TV so I just swapped them. This other SA box does not have this problem so I have never bothered reporting the box which is now upstairs as we never watch or record HD up there. Job sorted

They're dreadful - I know how you feel, sometimes it's quicker to go flick through channels upstairs and come back down when you know what you want to watch than battle through the sludge of the SA box downstairs.

We're housemoving soon and I'm in two minds about switching to Sky rather than have to endure the slower and slower and slower performance of our V+ box to be honest. Oh and it always really really lags up going through the adult channels on the TV guide which is incredibly embarassing when you're trying to just do a quick flick up to the next batch of "normal" stuff.
