Hi - needless to say too much going on to get on the laptop to report last night. However, did watch a bit of BBCHD. It seemed to me that there was still a slight problem. Not as bad as it has been, but not quite right. BBCHD Blog implied that they have been installing more software/equiptment to counter the complaints of poor picture quality. I wonder if this has had an impact on the sound in some way.

I've noticed it being out of sync on a lot of BBC channels recently, including HD. Yesterday morning Breakfast News was very out and I noticed some of the Glastonbury stuff wasn't brilliant last night either.

Usually a quick change up a channel and back down again sorts it though.

One thing I have heard with the sound on BBC HD is that during the World Cup matches, everytime the commentator speaks there seems to be an increase in the background noise. It's almost as if it's picking up extra background noise through their mic's. If you switch to BBC 1, it sounds normal.

I suppose it could be the signal feed from SA but I've not noticed it on the ITV coverage on HD.

Hi - yes I agree there was a problem with the Glastonbury broadcast last night. Not really good enough is it!

Hi all - well I reckon it's still out of synch. However, BBCHD from on demand is fine as are the other HD channels. Not sure where to go from here. The thought of calling faults and trying to explain this one........well

Ok... really want to get to the bottom of this issue....

Can anyone who is having problems, with the sound being out of sync on BBC HD, please post in this thread.

I need the time/date/programme to see where the fault is.

Thanks DF - I see there were problems with EurosportHD. I was watching Top Gear on BBCHD 8pm last night, and it was out of sync.

Cheers... from what's been happening it sounds like it's been drifting out and coming back. Damn, I wasn't watching when Top Gear was on!

It's not nice watching out of sync programming is it? It sounds like it's dubbed :D

I'm back in work on Wednesday, so will have a word with the late team and see if they can spot it. Just wish it was permanent like EuroSport HD was, so much easier to rectify. :)

I have noticed it mostly on HD channels but now it seems to be on non HD channels and I am getting fed up.I have reported this problem to Virgin at least 3 times. The last technician to turn up said there is nothing that can be done.I have another technician turning up tomorrow I want something done.

Are you sure it's not your TV/Amp if it's most channels? What have the VM techs done/said?

Its only happened since I had the HD box installed and there is no problem on digital tv via my aerial.
The last technician said there is nothing that can be done.
So phoned virgin this morning and told them I want my old box back and that I shall probably move to Sky.
As I have reported problem 3 times and its still not fixed then there is no reason why I cant.

Which HD box is it? Cisco V-HD, Samsung V+ or Scientific-Atlanta V+?

And what town are you in?
