As much as I dislike The Sun, this backpage is amazing;

Well what a completely boring game France v Uruguay was. It was a complete non-event as far as a spectator sport goes. Maybe it`s to do with it being the first game of a tournament or the fact the other game in the group had been a draw but neither side even looked like they wanted to win!

I`m sure there`s an expression for the game but i can`t think of it right know. :D

I also had to turn the sound down, stupid air/plastic, whatever they where horns should be banned!

COME ON ENGLAND...

I adjusted the sound (bass, middle and hitone) and found a good compromise setting that dulls the horns but still lets me hear the commentary. Probably a different setting for every TV but worse of all was trying to listen to it via my 5.1 system

South African stores run out of Vuvu-stopper earplugs

Quote:

"We can't keep up," said the owner, who has ordered 1,000 more.

The earplugs, marketed as the "Vuvu-Stop", have a label on the back of the packet which reads: Highly effective noise reduction. Uses include soccer, rugby, or for couch potatoes to block out your wife's moaning."
:D

I find Chiles less boring and annoying then Gary..... but thats just me.

abd tes those bloody horns are really annoying near to the point that I want to mute the tv...problem with that you wont hear the commentators.

I can forgive Gary Lineker for the years he put in as our best striker, but Chiles has done nothing at all apart from be miserable on TV.

There was all this "Could an African" country host a World Cup?

Well its obvious now its a no. They've ruined it for everyone.

and then Blatter chimes in...

But president Sepp Blatter accused the vuvuzela's detractors of failing to understand African culture and insisted they would be a welcome addition to the atmosphere in World Cup stadiums.

Yes, I wondered how long it would be before we were labelled racist.

And its really come to the point where people are going to World Cup football matches with earplugs?

Oiii thats wayyy below the belt.... I didnt vote (need to register myself again with the dutch embassy in london (they have my details but never been able to vote here dont know why and never bothered to look into it) but if I did I would've done anything and everything to stop the racist w*ore mongering barsteward of ever getting into politics.. perhaps it needs 1 of those moments like JFK or something similar.

It's quite painless. You rneed to register for a postal vote in The Hague. But you need to take action when you know there's an election. Once you are registered in The Hagua, they *should* send you the ballot papers automatically.
