As has already been said that depends as much on the GPU as the CPU.

A good graphics board will be able to do a lot of the work required thus taking load of the CPU. ;)

you bung a blu ray rom in the machine install software to decode it and insert a blu ray disc into the rom and play it. If it lags then the system isnt upto it ;)
