I answered that above in an earlier post you can have both if you want but for how long that is another issue.

They are aware of that and it will be first come first served and as they are opening the platforms one at a time then it will be @virgin.net who get the first choice followed by @ntlworld.com and finally @blueyonder.co.uk.

I do hope they're going to send letters out where there's dupe accounts across the domains. I could see the call centres going berserk otherwise.

To be honest I don't think most people will care.

It will be first come first served and in the order I previously posted.

lol. Be honest as you like Ben. But 60 year old Mr Smith suddenly having to change his email address everywhere is bad enough - if he has no prior warning, that's just a tad unfair in my opinion - and I think there'll be a fair few calls along those lines.

And??

That is how it is going to happen first @virgin.net, second @ntlworld.com and third @blueyonder.co.uk.

Yes, you already explained that chief. I just can't see where it pertains to my post (that you quoted and replied to) saying that I hope VM let people know about it! Otherwise the call centres may be inundated!

Just as well he WON'T have to change it then isn't it? The old domains will continue to work

I know what you mean and more information should be made available nearer the time.

I use my full name but know that no one else will have my email address if I choose to take a @virginmedia.com address and it is not reserved, just my name is unusual.

I got my 'old blueyonder' addy when I returned to cable (I requested this) I'm 63 but will cope fine if and when I would need to change again.
