That reminds me, how do I use the Tesco Tyre pump (don't laugh)?

What should the reading be on the pump, to inflate the tyres to the right size.

:)

Use this http://www.dunloptyres.co.uk/fandp/pressureGuide/

She got her points, 2 years ago.

I remember reading that car speedo's aren't 100% accurate and that you're probably doing less than you think you are - so no need to worry if you 'think' you were doing 31mph ;)

Car speedometers can have a tolerance of 10%, however they cannot show that you are doing a lower speed than you really are doing. So they will generally err on the side of caution and the speedometer will show a higher speed. If you have a GPS SatNav in the car you'll see that the speed according to the device is always slower than the indicator in the car dashboard.

How can Derek help me though? Can he check the speeding database, if I give him my car details?

I doubt it. I suspect that at the very least, he would be in violation of the Data Protection Act if he did so. Not to mention all sorts of other rules and laws.

P'raps you should just read your previous speed camera thread:

http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/22...d-cameras.html

Judging by all your other motoring threads, you and your friends and family don't have much luck with cars!
