I don't know what they're so upset about, Scottish politicians have said far worse things about English PMs.

The point though is not necessarily what is said, it's how it's said and in what context. Judging by the article linked in the original post, Clarkson got it spot on.

Can I point out that the whinging has nothing to do with any so-called "politically correct civil rights mob", so that is, imho, a bit of a straw man.

The complaints have been made by two Scottish MPs.

Personally anyone can say what they want to me and it can be as offensive as they like as long as they are prepared to get the same back and i certainly don't feel the need to go and get others involved or express my outrage at what one person may say to or about another. We really have got to grow up and start being adults because right now we have a culture growing in this country of bland conversation because say one thing wrong and your in for it because there are laws.

Clarkson is a god, he may be a lanky, long haired, pot bellied, loud mouthed, opinionated gob ***** but he is still a god :nworthy:

Personally I think GB gets off lightly with the names he has been called. He is an unelected leader of this country so really has the same sort of status as Mugabe, he wasnt elected either, he just massaged the figures to suit his own agenda.

Clarksons apologised. I didn't expect that.

It's good to know they've got nothing more important to worry about than JC.

In a statement issued through BBC Worldwide today he said: “In the heat of the moment I made a remark about the Prime Minister’s personal appearance for which, upon reflection, I apologise.”

Is it me or does Clarkson's apology only seem to cover the 'one eyed' part of his original remark.

The RNIB are banging on about this on the radio at the moment.

Can't see it as being all that offensive myself.
