But if he did leave to play at Madrid, would you blame Real for unsettling him or would you see Ronaldo for what he truly was (if he did move that is) - a money grabbing, I dont care about Utd, Im just off for more money, type of player. |

I expect Ronaldo to leave, not now though, at the end of next season or the one after that probably. Madrid is a club he's always supported and wanted to play for so i understand why he wants to move there. I don't think he is the money grabbing type of player, i think he deserves the money he gets. I don't agree with how Madrid are trying to get him to join sooner rather than later, the way they use the Marca newspaper to release comments is unacceptable and shouldn't be allowed. They surely know he will one day move there, there is no need to try and unsettle him and get on bad terms with the club they will have to buy him from. Quote:

Re: Close Season Transfer Rumour Mill
What i'm saying is that a club saying 'we would be intrested in signing Mr.xxxx' is not a problem for me personally, maybe it's against the rules or whatever, but i think thats ok and wouldn't really unsettle a player. Maybe it does unsettle a player and i'm wrong but it's just the way i feel about it. What Madrid are doing is something else though, they are continuously, through their newspaper, making up stories about a player and in a way forcing a player to join their club. Things like giving a player who doesn't play for them but want to sign them a car as a gift are unacceptable in my opinion. I don't think anyone can accuse United or any other club of using the tactics Madrid have been using in the past few weeks.
