Schedule of areas is available though most areas are still showing dates to be confirmed some areas are showing February as an upgrade date.

I was leaving a local chippy when I saw a Virgin Media van parked outside. I asked the guy about the upgrade and first he said there was just 50mb and when I said no, that 4mb was going to 10mb he immediately replied with June.

If it's going to be June for Belfast, great for me as i'll be leaving the country March and coming back end of May.

TBC should read TBA, they can't even get that right.

Actually, it means To Be Confirmed, not To Be Arranged - how have they got that wrong?

Re: Virgin 4Mb to upgrade to 10Mb February - Summer

If they don't post a date, how can it be confirmed? TBA= To Be Announced.

Re: Virgin 4Mb to upgrade to 10Mb February - Summer

TBC does mean "To Be Confirmed". TBC seems to suggest they do have a date set (which could be something general like Feb to Summer or more specific like a certain month) but they haven't got it sorted out to make a final date specific.

LOL just as if anyone on here would hold them to a confirmed date. If they said mid february then late march someone still didn't have it all hell would break loose. Why can't people just wait. I can understand the people that are on 20mb broadband that want to downgrade hoping for better quality and speed but us 4mb users seem to have the best of virgins services at the moment. i hope going to 10mb does not cause us as much trouble as the 20mb upgrade caused others.

TBC basically means that no date has yet been set for the uBR upgrades to take place - it's really nothing to worry about.

not sure if it was this topic or another topic about this upgrade, but I read that the Ambit 120 can't handle the pace of the upgrade, so people ordereed a new modem.......

this page (then select the size L then picked Ambit 120) says it can!!!

I am confused.

all these upgrades sound great but the customers on 20megs who dont even see 5megs how many see close to full 20meg? before upgrading more maybe they should make sure everyone is dling at full 20 or close to/?
