Funnily enough, according to research late last year by the IPPR, there are 1 million UK pensioners living abroad, and a total of 5.5 million Brits who have been living abroad for a year or more.

What happens if "their" Lockys start deporting "us"? ;)

well india(call centers), china(IT), and america(aircraft engines etc) dont seem to be doing to badly profiting off the invaders.....

sure , i think i take your point.., that being, are all the temp teaching force, that are the majority of upper school teachers today in the low income/deprived area's, good enough at teaching these deprived familys/kids the required long term life skills....

these multilingual kids will have to still do the same tasks, and so become far more bored in english rather than their native parents native language (scottish/welsh/irish/french etc) while the longer time english born familys kids struggle to learn peace meal, once they get to upper school.... and the temp teaching culture maggie and toney/gardon favour.

however,i assume you also teach your kids and dont leave it mainly in the hands the current UK schools system ?.

sure, again you dont fancy being in the minority,understandable, try being a single parent male....; and be thankful how good woman really have it....

as far as im concerned , theres one race, and thats the human race.

all this your family tree came from a hot country and so your black, or your family tree came from a cold country so your white is bull, and just another excuse to place blame and make yourself (not you personally pia, just generally)feel better.

Its often been said that racial differences will be eliminated as we "interbreed" forming a completely 'mixed race'.

This is the equivalent of some US right-wing commentators urging white Americans to have more children in order to counteract the Hispanic growth.

I am pretty sure we were all black 'at the start' anyway. White people seem to be another race that came out of that line and somehow took power early one. Leading to racism and the feeling morons have that white people are some how superior.

Absolutely, and after 2 million years do you think its going to be easy to stamp out? Hell no! But the powers that be keep throwing different races in together and bang on about living in harmony!!!
The fairly intelligent ones tolerate each other, even get on, but the majority stick to there own. This increases mistrust on both sides. When will the do-gooders admit racial harmony aint gonna happen for a few 100 years yet, and stop forcing it on people.
2nd Comment: all figures used are usually from the 2002 consensus, well out of date!
3rd: Some parts of large towns are majority Indian/Pakistani/West Indian (Delete as Necessary).
If you, as white person live there your perception will be differant to, say someone who lives in a nice white area, say Kent

i wont take the same view as everyone else so far, dont go away just yet, as id like to try and understand your view.

it seems you have a view that we are being invaded, let me tell you as someone that also lives here, its the council that have already sold off the masses of schools and the shops for even more housing that we dont need that we should be putting our energys into, not invaders.

these new shoebox houses then have new familys move in, and need local schools and shops to go to and work in.

never mind..., the council members made a nice one time killing, and took the cash for investment in their personal pet projects etc elsewere, no new schools were built or even extensions added to the current overrun schools in these run down area's though, how could they , they dont own the land to expand anymore....

civic, what a joke of a main shopping center today.

so locky , given the above, why do you have the view you do?.

Actually, there's an example of this four doors away at the primary school my son's going to go to - it's got a fairly high intake of non-English as first language children (from all over the place, particularly East Africa) and apparently (according to the headmistress) they get to exactly the same level in a year (so much so that their results are indistinguishable from native English speakers). The school's one of the top 200 in the country on last years results, which were admittedly exceptional. The key is probably that it's quite a well off area and a well-managed and resourced school.

Children learn fast, particularly when given help and encouraged to mix. It's quite common round here to see an Asian woman in full headscarf etc. chatting to her offspring in her own language and being answered in a broad Lahndan accent, innit. Knowing more than one language should be an advantage, anyway.

Back to the Express - the article was a mashup of an article in the Sheffield Star, which was based on a council report that says the opposite of what the Express is trying to make out - namely that Sheffield is a multicultural city and *it works very well, thank you*. The council want to keep things that way.

Apparently the press office is fed up with the Express, which they think didn't read the report before going to press. Now, is it the council 'throwing different races together', in Womble's charming phrase, or the Express grossly misrepresenting a report they haven't read as effectively BNP propaganda that's acting in the irresponsible manner?

What I was trying to convey, was not everyone is ready to be multi-cultural, sorry if it came out wrong
As for Locky, its ill thought arguments like his that make the "right wing" unelectable. The day an eloquent right winger is born we maybe in some trouble!
