OK then please explain how playing in over half of your teams league games and making his manager go back on his words that he wouldn't play again means that he couldn't get into the Real Madrid team.

Remeber Madrid are only 5 points off the lead in La Liga.

Half of the games isn't enough for anyone to be considered for the national team, we shouldn't be picking players that are missing a lot of games for any reason other than injury. Credit to him though for buckling down and making the coach go back on his word, in fact if you believe the papers he may well have saved Capello's job

If Madrid are doing so well, why all the speculation about getting rid of the manager?

used to be enough for Phil Neville when he was at Man U a number of years back, in fact i dont beleive he even played half

Lampard is a great player, but not for England. He and Gerrard cannot play together. I sometimes wonder too if Lampard is being carried by Makalele or Essien - thus so many goals from midfield.

Don't get me wrong, I've love to see him pull on a Sky Blue shirt, but there are some club players who just don't turn it on for England (Wright, Barnes etc).

They need a leader - the manager can't manager and the captain doesn't lead.

There's no doubt they are great players but some just aren't producing for England right now. A good manager needs to be strong and make tough even unpopular decisions - is there any evidence that McLaren can do this???

Re Beckham - He's yesterday's news and even he knows it hence his lucrative contract to take it easy in the US. Hardly the sign of a man certain he can cut the mustard at the highest level.

Gonna have to watch the highlights later, as by the sound of it, the Andora team are a bunch of dirty cheats. England should know how to play against this sort of team really, though.

Very dirty. Diving all over the place and rolling around at least 12 times.

Gerrard has been good and probably saved McClaren's job...........for now.

Other 'highlights' inc Richards and Lennon I though for flashes in the first half - the rest of them can go back to their clubs as overpaid yobs where they seem to care more for the big Premiership games.
