Re: Firefox 2 - out tomorrow
I installed this yesterday and I'm impressed. The 'close' button on each tab is the most immediate difference, and I like it except when I forget and go to click on the right hand end of the tab bar!
I have also noticed it handles antialiased text on a TFT monitor much better than 1.x did, however it sometimes renders the bottom of the page slightly more slowly than 1.x did when I rapidly scroll downwards. |

Re: Firefox 2 - out tomorrow
Installed it earlier (cleanly after backing up my bookmarks etc.), then whacked on the excellent Adblock Plus & NoScript.
I like it so far. Only thing I wasn't keen on was how they've changed the location bar search - if you enter keywords in the location bar, & hit enter/Go, it no longer does a Google "I'm Feeling Lucky" search, but does a "Browse By Name" search instead. As I'm now very used to the old method, I did a quick Google & found a solution: http://www.obsess.com/2006/09/29/fee...-in-firefox-2/ Quote:
