Some might feel time for a rethink of FF v IE after this from The Register :erm:

The report tallied 21 vulnerabilities for Mozilla Firefox versus 13 for Internet Explorer.

Firefox (in fact, the whole Mozilla project) aims for 100% standards compliance. However, some of it (CSS2?) isn't finished yet. That's a less than ideal state of affairs, but on the other hand no browser that I know of has 100% standards-supporting code yet.

For the record, here are shots from the latest versions of Firefox, Konqueror (the basis of Safari) and Opera. Running Linux, so I can't test MSIE.

Ouch, Konqueror and Opera don't handle that very well.
That surprises me because I always thought that Konqueror (the KHTML engine is used in Safari on Mac) had better support than Gecko.

Next question...........
How do I (is it even possible) put the toolbar that contains the back/forward/refresh buttons and the address area/bar thingy up a level so that all that is next to the file/edit/view/go bookmarks etc buttons?

right-click on a blank bit of the toolbar, customize. you can then drag & drop buttons, address bar etc. or the toolbar as a whole

This is why I love FF.
If you don't like some part of it then you can change it to exactly what you want! :)
