Hoodies are a fashion statement. The idea that everyone who wears a hoodie is trying to conceal their identity is nonsense. I have one although obviously I am guilty (of whatever).

Anyone else offended by a recent post which purports to be amusing but isn't? I ask only tentatively you understand

I have to say that whilst I agree that not all hoodie wearers are not all muggers etc some of them to have a certain look about them and the way they walk / loll around does make me wary of them.

Kids walk around with hoodies up - it's fashion. When I was a kid DM boots were all the rage - the more holes you had, the more cool you were. They were deeply impractical in urban Hertfordshire but hey, we all had them.

I need not make any further comment as to offence caused beyond saying being racist is neither big or clever. The offender knows his identity.

Okay since you are being so clever tonight then. I was down the town with my mum yesterday, we were near the post office, there was a gang of three of them, hoddies and caps, a cop car stops to talk to a taxi driver, all of a sudden these three run like billyo, the copper did not have a clue as to why they ran off, but he soon gave chase, would you like to ask my mum as well Andy since you claim I bluff my way through the forum.

IMO it's better than walking around in sub-zero temperatures in a t-shirt to show how "hard" you are...!

Anyone watch the trever mcdonald special tonight? About people slapping people across the head for kicks? beating them up? Setting them on fire.

They all had one thing in common, they all wore hoods.

I think its very naiive of anyone to suggest hoods are simply a fashion statement, and nearly all of the ones I have seen are shifty (yes I know its not a crime to look shifty)

I dont understand why anyone is trying to defend someones *rights* to wear a hood inside, tbh I would ban anyone wearing trackie bottoms (who wasnt at a track) and those stupid stripey jumpers, as trouble always seems to linger around them.
