When it comes down to 60p a track (that I can download to a player), I'll think about it.
They've so very NEARLY got it right, it's so frustrating!

It's widely expected that the iTunes Music Store is going to launch in the UK today. It's also widely known that in the US, tracks sell for about 60p each - so this Napster service is already looking like very poor value. If Apple launches at a price anything like its US operation, NTL is going to be left looking stupid for joining up with a bunch of rip off merchants. Or maybe they're just being true to form. Anyhow, keep your eye on the technology/entertainment pages of your favourite online news service, I believe we will see the music download business hotting up before our very eyes before the end of the day. |
