Re: WiFi not working on one device
If it connects to your phone's wifi hotspot then it'll be the router / hub that's the problem. If it doesn't then it'll be your laptop.

Re: WiFi not working on one device
It has always registered as ‘connected’ to the wifi but reports unidentified network, no internet connection. The exact same message when using ethernet or phone hotspot.
I am convinced the Media Disconnected error is a the root of this problem |
Re: WiFi not working on one device
Have a look in the control panel device manager and see if anything is being flagged up (yellow exclamation mark).

Re: WiFi not working on one device
Worth checking if any system errors too.
Open Start. Search for Command Prompt, right-click the top result, and select the Run as administrator option. Type the following command to repair the Windows 10 system files and press Enter: sfc /scannow This can help if ipconfig doesn't work or run as it can fix them. After you've ran it, then try the ipconfig commands (as admin). |

Re: WiFi not working on one device
Could it be the antivirus on the laptop preventing access for some reason ??

Re: WiFi not working on one device
You could try a DISM repair with a Win 11 iso
https://www.windowscentral.com/softw...-on-windows-11 But personally I would be trying a repair install following this method https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...7-f40096ec3085 You will need a windows 11 iso so you will need another machine to create one |

You can use a windows 10 ISO, you're not installing it but using the repair / DISM aspect from the disk image. Normally you use it when you're online, but as you're not you have to use an ISO. How to use DISM offline repair Windows 10 https://www.ubackup.com/windows-10/d...indows-10.html Or you can repair using the ISO. Re: WiFi not working on one device
Tried ipconfig several times, still no joy. Win 10 ISO upgrade nearly finished loading onto usb drive.
May have to leave it till later now, even in my dotage (75) I still have to get my two or three games of squash or racketball in. |
