Don't get your hopes up, the eleven channels have been hidden ready for launch since 8th Septemer on my box yet still they haven't launched!

Oh well at least Sky can get the golden dunce award as well as NTL!! At least its good to know that us NTL people are not the only ones who dont get their channels launched on the advertised day-its absolutly choice isnt it!!

Well I don't think its supposed to launch on Monday - the More4 website makes no mention of +1's launch :)

See when the channels are tested, does it just come up as if they are properly there?

eg if you stuck on 172 it would have the epg and everything for VH2?

well it does give the More4 launch day as 10th October on the site,and does state NTL have it on channel #166 so lets see tomorrow,I'm a massive fan of channel4 only channel I really watch much of so should be good this.

Given that ntl seems unable/unwilling to add these new channels it promised us five weeks ago, and reading a statement by Sam B, don't expect More4 to be on ntl at 8pm tomorrow night.

I think this would be a seriously damaging incident for ntl if More4 was not broadcasting on ntl at 8pm tomorrow night. They have had several weeks of notice about the launch date of this channel and they clearly have the space to carry it as Express Shopping Channel's closure frees to the necessary space.

I guess we shall see what happens in the next 24 hours.

I think it will cause ntl a LOT of damage if More4 does not launch tomorrow. They have ahd several weeks notice plus there is space which is left by Express Shopping Channel closing down.

I am in the position where I can watch it on Freeview but it would be really bad for ntl if they do not launch More4 by 8pm tomorrow night.

I was hoping that the whole caboodle(the missing 11 + More 4) were being help up to launch together tomorrow but then again I thought Scotland would qualify for the World Cup!

Most of the other new channels have mentioned their channel number either on their website or on-air in the case of Quiz Call, so I wouldn't hold out much hope of More 4 Launching on time (on ntl) because it's mentioned on Channel 4's website.

There is hope however that it can use the space left by the Express Shopping channel like I mentioned in an earlier post and as suggested by Rillington, so fingers crossed.

There's a defunct "Express shopping" channel they can dump, if they're that short of capacity - though maybe the static screen gets a lower bandwidth anyway.

I believe that More4 should have launched to all digital customers this morning, although the programming doesn't start until 8pm tonight. More4 +1 doesn't actually run any programming until next Monday, I've no idea why.

Sorry about the lack of info on it last week, there was still a lot of work going on to make sure it could launch.

I'll see what I can tell you about the other channels - hopefully should be an announcement today about the other channels coming soon (sorry to use that phrase...!)

Baby TV has been mentioned in the ntl Radio Times as being about to launch on 615/69 but that will probably not launch until the delayed channels are launched. It wasn't mentioned along with the other' missing' channels originally. The missing channels are also listed on page 142.

well thanks NTL for More4 and More4+ on time,i know we all moan a little but good job on getting it as expected.Hopefully the 13th we'll get the horror channel,of the others I'm not interested pay-per porn and shopping channels arnt my thing.

I hadn't seen the Horror channel website.

We are working towards the date of the 13th for all of the channels. I wasn't in the office today, but will find out tomorrow how certain that is looking.

Response to message lost in deluge: I can't really comment, except to say that it wasn't a problem around any of the channels themselves. More around the processes that we needed to go through to launch them which caused other unexpected issues.

An update to our earlier announcement regarding the 11 channels †“ ntl have now confirmed with us, the additional 12 new channels to their digital line up, they will launch tomorrow on 13th October, at no extra cost to the customer

Sorry that is complete BS I got a letter fro NTL this moring stating that from the 1st of Noveber the cost of the TV will go up by £1

The price increase that you are referring to is for the Sky premium channels that you have - we are passing on an increase in costs from them. Sky customers received that increase from 1st September.

About the community channel....I don't know about anybody else who is on the nottingham headend but we already get a community channel, the old 'channel 7' (was channel 7 on the old analogue) for North/E Lincolnshire on 925.

Here in SE London, but EuroNews may have a sound problem. Every 30 secs or so, the sound is like someone's having hiccups. Not sure if it's still doing it, because I'm now at work.

CF's description of Euronews mentions that it's 'simultaneously broadcasting in seven languages'.

However, when I checked it this morning, there only appeared to be the English audio feed available, and no ETV app to switch between them like I believe Telewest have.

Can anyone provide any info as to whether we will have this feature become available in the near future?

Yeah, I know they're available in Ireland, each on a separate channel number. But you'd think that with ntl's capacity to provide ETV apps, combined with the fact that TW already provide the service, ntl would also offer the service to its customers over here.

We looked this morning through the channels we got and thought Baby TV would be great for us (we have a 3mth old son) so was a bit gutted to see it appeared to be a subscription only kinda thing. Came on here to see if anyone else had same problems and it appears so.

A quick look in the Bromley billing system shows Baby TV as £2.94 per month... That sounds a bit odd, though, so don't quote me on that! It doesn't seem to have been added to the billing system used for most Langley areas yet, and I don't have access to the Celtic regions' billing system - so that's as close as I can get!

I've spoken to ntl about it today and it is to be unencrypted tomorrow for a trial period until December. I am expecting some more details shortly.

I think that it's going to be £3.50 per month. It is indeed going to have quite a long freeview for the launch, until sometime in December I think.

:D We've had the new channels as well, all day, but it seems that UKTV Style Gardens on 171 fell off air around 40 minutes ago during The Flying Gardener. It's EPG is showing programming up till 01.00, but when I last looked before writing this it was still showing a black screen after rebooting.All the others are still ok though - wierd!

Not really...I don't see how that could be seen as disturbing. Quite helpful actually - it allows parents to tape shows over-night while they or their kids aren't busy watching other things.

Hmmm, you seem to have contracted a case of "bash NTL no matter what", which seems to be increasingly prevalent on these forums.

The channel has only been available for a couple of days. You don't think that maybe you're expecting a bit much?
