From today, VM has discontinued the ITV Catch-up service for V6 customers, who are now redirected to use the ITVX app for all ITV catch up content.

My Sky Sports UHD has now appeared so it is up and running - it is HLG.
You need to look carefully at you new contract as originally they removed Cinema UHD when adding Sports UHD - but all seems good - currently. |

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2023)
I have it working, its hdr! watching the cricket in hlg
plus they wouldn't budge on £7 even though I have uhd movies, but i can worry about that later :) "Thanks for your patience. I did try manually and still the cost is 7pounds the UHD channels are free with your Ultimate Volt package and not charging you so we will not be able to remove that and add UHD with sports and cinema that is the reason its 7pounds." Atmos, HDR, great picture, not too bad price,recordable.... I'm stunned |

|
Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2023)
This is the reason I'm not getting it offered for £4
"Yes, but with the bundle you have now is our old bundle in which Sky UHD was inclusive and the new Ultimate bundle does not have Sky cinema UHD included so it actually cost 6GBP extra and for Sky sports UHD and movies UHD it will cost you 10GBP so offered it for best price." So their new Ultimate Bundle doesn't include stuff I already have I'm also not sure why that matters to me, I think Virgin need to look up the word Ultimate, The top package was supposed to be everything and you were a VIP and got the best price |

£7 for me on Ultimate Volt (that had UHD entertainment and movies in it).

This, coupled with the fact that lots of HD channels have now been moved to lower packages after the switchoff of SD channels, means that I now have virtually everything that I had when I was paying for Full House. I've lost BT Sport which I wasn't bothered about and their part time UHD channel is complete rubbish IMO. I urge everyone not bothered about the above two channels to check out what they'd still get if they downgraded and cut costs. I'm now giving about £26 a month less to this unscrupulous company, which pleases me no end. |

Word of warning to anyone attempting to add the Sky Sports Ultra HD channels. It took me almost two hours to get activated. I had to make three calls to the call centre this morning and at the third attempt I spoke to someone who was able to do the necessary and add them to my account.
The first two people I spoke to didn’t have a clue and assured me that they didn’t offer Sky Sports in Ultra HD. A very frustrating last couple of hours trying to upgrade my channels but I got there in the end! |

Virgin quoted us £105 for full TV and standard BB. Sky quoted us £73 for Ultimate TV with Sky Sports + Cinema, Netflix, Paramount+ and 6 months free Apple TV. We left VM after being a customer since 1995. Sadly, VM don’t treat loyalty well.

But BT Sport is included on VM but is another £30 to add on Sky. Netflix is now included by Virgin Media. I have Apple TV free and can't find anything worth watching.
Was the VM price quoted online or over the phone? I was paying that to VM with the free mobile thrown in too. With both - you do seem to need to inform them you are cancelling for the best offer. It is always worth trying a 2-3 times - different reps will offer different prices - at VM and Sky. Quote:

Their recording.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2023)
There is around 30-50% less channels provided on their IPTV services when compared to the normal linear service.
Sky Stream/Glass does NOT offer recording so you have to use Catch-Up and some programmes are not available. BT's version does record. Don't know about VM Stream. Quote:

In the end I downgraded to the minimum TV package, so they have lost money by doing this. I did get the entertainment & Drama picks thrown in by way of an apology, which I doubt they'd have done if there was no proof of what I was saying. I'm currently on to a VM CS agent and they're absolutely adamant that they don't have Sky Sports UHD. I'm trying to get it added and set a new package as I'm currently out of contract. But he/she insists that UHD is not available. Yet the previous agent I spoke to said I could add it for £7, but when I said I wanted to also renegotiate my package said I'd have to go through to Customer Services. WTH?
