Even the official Everton FC web site says without any complaint that Coleman tripped Zaha.

The visitors had a golden chance to take the lead on the hour but were thwarted when Jordan Pickford brilliantly saved Luka Milivojevic’s penalty after Seamus Coleman was penalised for tripping Wilfried Zaha.

Note not unfairly penalised or even adjudged to have,

Given a football lesson tonight but TBH Juve must be one of the hot favourites for the competition. When you read the team sheet of a foreign side and you know every single player by name and reputation as top, top players then you know you are up against it.

Was nice to see CR7 in the flesh again.

On the upside I thought Lindelof had a very good game.

You might not like this Jim but what were United scared of last night? as Juve dominated possession as Man Utd sat back all night basically doing diddly squat.

This is not the United l know or you know so where do United go from here?

Re: Season 2018/2019

Newcastle United crisis gets worse. No sign of a win coming from anywhere, the performance gets worse each week, they are in serious danger of pulling off a Derby County here. I literally can't foresee 3 points. It's an abysmal team with makeshift players headed by guys that can't score goals. The ownership is in dire straits and Benitez is absolutely out of his depth. Swapping Dwight Gayle for Rondon shows that. The signing of Muto and so forth. He's got the team set up playing horrid football at a quality that's embarrassing for Premier league level. I'm all for giving Benitez money and a chance if new ownership comes in but he's really starting to shine through the questionable decisions that saw him given the boot at so many bigger clubs.

There's huge protests and boycotts coming up. Both Everton and Newcastle fans will protest against Ashley and Sports Direct in the upcoming fixture. Newcastle and Liverpool fans will also stage a joint protest against Ashley and Sports direct. There will be a mass boycott of the Wolves game that's currently a televised fixture.

The club really is on the brink of ruin. I think the penny dropped when it was revealed Ashley had taken 10 million out of the club in the summer despite claims Newcastle will receive every penny it generates.

Utter dross from both sides.

The cynical side of me says that was a dive with plausible deniability.

In an England match in the recent World Cup, an England player went flying, got up, wagged his finger at the ref to indicate he wasn't claiming anything. It was if he was expecting the defender to make contact and anticipated that, and when the anticipated contact didn't happen he risked being caught out.

The day they start having VAR in non League football, is the day I stop watching non League football. If you don't agree with the ref you can usually discuss it with him in the bar later :)

It does not matter when its the Premier league or the FA cup a poor decision is a poor decision by the referee which would be helped if VAR was available.

So who is going to pay for VAR in non League? Really not needed, refs as well as players make mistakes, part of the game. It's partly why the Premiership and their seated comotose fans has become dull as ditchwater. ( just my opinion of course ;) )

Mike Ashley in US to finalise deal to sell Newcastle United. Still unaware if this is Peter Kenyon or the other group. All we know is that a £350 million takeover is currently on the cards.

Yes, they remind mean of Leeds United circa 1972. Not quite as skillful but they have the ' physicality'!

Good old Billy Bremner l certainly remember him vividly Mr K.

An essential cog in the pragmatic, often over-robust yet frequently wonderfully entertaining Leeds United team of the Sixties and Seventies, he was also the red-haired dynamo in Scotland's international side, winning 54 caps."

And he was a dirty little barsteward. Another much better Scotsman was Dave Mackay who put Bremner firmly in his place as a famous photo shows.

Bremner played in the days well before the serious animosity between Leeds and MU developed. One of the few players to have been sent off in the Charity Shield final. :(

Missed all the footy today, my wife is the secretary of the a local group of volunteers who put on several events throughout the year. They organise the Christmas lights switch on amongst other events. I am not a member of the group but was tasked with providing the music for Santa's grotto and as the official photographer.

It all went off really well but have only just got home having been out since lunchtime, too tired to bother about football ATM.

This is becoming very unsavoury in the Arsenal vs Spurs match.:(:td:

l quite agree Jim but this referee does have a track record of giving some dodgy decisions even though he got it right with the first one.

Great one touch football for that goal.

I think the linesman helped him out with the first pen TBH.

A great goal and methinks given the defensive chaos it won't be the last.

Re: Season 2018/2019

I am a big Spurs fan, and l think the referee was not strong enough for the tension between these two hated clubs.

In the major fight, no one got sent off. A Arsenal player went for Alli. And the all hell was let loose. Even Poch had to run and prevent his players getting into worse trouble.

There should have been more red cards than the one given to Vertonghan

And the nasty fouls that were coming in from the same old Arsenal.

And Foyth again gives away balls that led to the Arsenal scoring the goals.

And why Mousa was left out until nearly the end of the game baffles me.
Sissoko, should have been taken off as he was getting really frustrated by the tackles on him.

If the ref had started issuing cards in the first instance, then we would have had a good North London derby.

Instead of that l think Arsenal are being taught how to give out rough tactics.

There will also be bitter rivalry between Spurs and Arsenal. And don't worry Arsenal, you wont be above us for very long.

And we still have the cup game coming up to get revenge on todays game

I'm not a fan of him and it sums him up to have been sent of in a glorified friendly, football hard man my arse, it's one of the biggest oxymorons going
