@BBCSport Theo Walcott signs new 4-year deal with Arsenal, worth £140k per week - via @bbcsport_david. More to follow... #AFC |
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Not bad for someone who has trouble staying fit.
|
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Yes, and I would say £100,000 more a week than he is worth. Never got the hype over Theo myself.
|
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
He promised so much though at one time.

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Here is a list of things which get on my goat and i hope to see less of this season.
1.players making heart gestures. 2.silly haircuts. 3.feminine coloured boots pinks etc eeughh.man up for gods sake and get back to black boots. 4.one armed tattoo fashionistas. 5.silly goal celebrations. I wonder what stanley matthews, nat lofthouse, tom finney etc would make of these performing clowns. I do realise of course that there is no hope in hell of it happening in fact i think it will only get worse. But i live in hope. |
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Yes Figgy it will get worse instead of getting better that's for sure.

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
You forgot the badge kissing, that really gets my goat.:(
And pointing up to the sky after scoring . |
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
a good game being streamed live by MEN, Stuttgart v Man City. City 4-0 down at half time.:D

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Reading that Pedro to United is a done deal. Hes got to be an improvement on Di Maria...
|
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Di Maria for the money has been a real let-down in my book.

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Now they must win the league but somehow l don't think they will.
|
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
I'll leave this Forum if they win the League. I agree with the pundit (cannot remember who it was now) who said they can start the season good but will fall away by the end of the season.
|
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
They have the skill but they don't have the mentality or physicality to win the league.

He'll be retired and a coach before the age of 30. Shame, he is a player with great potential to be the new Beckham for England but think these injuries will finish his career earlier rather than later.
|
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Injuries screwed a big part of last season too!
|
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
l don't know what it is but Arsenals injury list in these past few years never seems to go down much and this season has not even started yet so perhaps they need to change something in the hope they get less of their players out injured all the time.

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Man Utd fans will be well happy with that draw, by far the easiest opposition.

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Just read this on an email sent to Man Utd season ticket holders etc.
'Marouane Fellaini allowed Schweinsteiger to take his favoured shirt and moves to no.27, the number he wore at his first club Standard Liege, while Luke Shaw swaps no.3 for 23 as a personal preference. Shaw explained the change to MUTV, saying: "It’s the number I feel comfortable with and it’s probably the number that I want to carry on with until I finish my career.”' What a load of bulls testicles, what bloody difference does the number on your back make. |
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
It makes sense for Shaw to change his shirt number while changing his kit size...

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Spurs looking great in possession here. I guess if you're gonna beat United at home, your best chance is the first game of the season.
United lead against the run of play, Premier League :D Poor from Rooney though, you're Rooney, hit it first time man. Nice to see 'consistent' refereeing has made a return, tackles himself and gets a foul, logic. Pretty dire opening game, Spurs were non existent when they came back out, no team really offered anything, Spurs attack late on but it's far too late, first time Romero has really been tested. Be a completely undeserved point if spurs score. The way I see United's goal is, it obviously isn't a foul but regardless, if Rooney hits it first time it's in, if Kyle Walker doesn't catch him up, it's in, Kyle walker does get behind him and it's in anyway. Spurs bottom of the league, United top of the league. Bound to change though :) |
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Spuds bottom of the league - love it :)
|
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Where is old Arthur when you need him.:)
|
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Just on the tram back from OT. Very poor game, both sides will struggle this season unless there is dramatic improvement. On the plus side I did pop into a bar at OT cricket ground and saw the last Australian wicket go down.:)

Comeback off.
In other news the BBC congratulated Yohan Cabaye on his debut goal then went on to think he still played for Newcastle in the same sentence. |

Chelsea fans are off their rocker. Up in arms over Courtis. It's a horrible challenge nevermind that he's the last man for starters and Chelsea fans seem to be missing the part where his studs get his knee... If studs are getting knees you're getting sent off, end of.
|
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Yes but this is Chelsea, a team who cannot lay blame at their own door. It is always someone else's fault. Ditto a lot of sportsmen, but I won't ruin my good mood.

As Roy Keane said too many players more interested in how they look rather then getting down to the nitty gritty of the Premiership.

It's worth it just to see Wengers face, nobody does 'bulldog chewing a wasp' quite like him.:D

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
I'd take a point here and I think Southampton would. I bet Cisse regains his touch from his first season now and Mitrovic gets nothing, Gino goal on his debut.

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
 West Ham. Ppoor from Arsenal.

I'm just stating the fact he made 2 mistakes that is all. Had he of saved Zarates shot it would have been said that is to be expected from a world class keeper. The first goal was unbelievably poor which summed up his day.
|
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Surely spending the year on a bench has done him no favours. Pretty awful stuff for Arsenal regardless.

Suarez was crucified for his. Re: Football Season 2015/2016
I use the word jap quite often on forums and even speaking to japanese people, its not racist.
and yes the casino has breached their privacy contract by releasing the video to the media. regarding your wish for him to be sacked I would be surprised if it happens, given he is probably our most important player and has already publicly apologized, likely he will get a fine instead. The questions to be answered here? 1 - did the sun go looking for a story on a leics city player. Or was it handed to them? 2 - Given the sun uses the term jap many times in their previous stories why are they having double standards? 3 - why did they wait until this passed weekend to report the story given they had it for weeks? |

So Jose thinks he is a Doctor now does he. Most craziest decision l have ever heard. What happens if a player needs a Dr in an emergency. I hope she quits Chelsea, and finds a decent club who respects a Dr's decision as final |
