A Spitfire was doing a tour of some Rolls Royce factories in East Kilbride and Inchinnan yesterday. Thanks to a tip from a mate who works at the airport I managed to snag some shots from a hill overlooking the airport and RR Inchinnan.

Had to go over to Brighton today to see a client, went by train (Car's US at the moment) and then yomped it from the main station up Elm Grove to above the racecourse (Kemptown) :breathless: and this was the view:

Client is in factory below reached by a 300 step stair. Easy on the way down. Going back up was a different proposition.

Was in London today and took a few pictures of the same place from different angles. The HDR camera app on my phone takes 2 or 3 shots and combines them for better colours but it's obvious in the first one from the helicopter and traffic on the bridge, oops!

Taken on a D5600, f/5.6, ISO-6400 Shutter 1/5. In Night Mode Scene option

Had to use new software to compress from NEF, output is smaller than it said.

Try lowering the ISO with much longer exposure. With a tripod if poss.

Here's an example of a long night time exposure I took a few years ago. (1988) Something like 30 seconds, F5.6 and 400 ASA film. Tripod with remote cable release. Note the stars in the sky are as small streaks:

Subject is Sennen Cove, Cornwall. Unfortunately fast film tends to be a bit grainy. Something that digital photography does improve on.

If you can wedge the camera onto the shot you want, set a 3sec timer so you don't move the camera when you press the shutter button. Do this with a tripod as well. Or get one of those cheapo shutter remotes which works great.

I couldn't quite stand where you were, but I wanted one of the rainbow. November 2015 and it was bitterly cold. Cold like I had never felt before, hard to describe but it was like the cold equivalent to the heat in Death Valley :confused:.
