well the best team is losing now, and wigan getting absolutely everything off of silverwood -who is justifying why i think what i think of him. how he concluded that lunt knocked on when it was goulding that reefed it backward is anyone's guess and to rub in the wounds the pie munchers then score from the resulting set of 6.

That is all we got from him all night. Stonewall penalty in a kickable position in the last minute not given summed up his performance.

not to mention the what 3 or 4 times he piggy backed you up the pitch with contentious decisions. what done you in was that your lot were garbage in the first half - of all games to have your worst half in, it had to be this.

Well its hit the fan in the NRL Grand Final

Quote:

CANTERBURY prop James Graham today became part of rugby league infamy, accused of biting the ear of Melbourne superstar Billy Slater in a volatile NRL grand final at ANZ Stadium.

England forward James Graham could be facing a two-month ban if he is found guilty of biting the ear of an opponent.

The former St Helens captain was put on report for his part in a fracas during Sunday's NRL Grand Final in which his Canterbury Bulldogs side lost 14-4 to the Melbourne Storm in front of an 82,976 crowd in Sydney.

Melbourne full-back Billy Slater complained to referee Tony Archer that his ear had been bitten and close-up television replays appeared to provide damning evidence against Graham, who will be anxiously awaiting the outcome of tomorrow's match review committee meeting.
Long long ban needed if proved, i have always felt that if you do drugs then you are banned for life from all sports, if you resort to biting, gouging or found to be trying to break bones it should be a very lengthy ban.

Super Bennie Westwood's testimonial game versus Wigan Warriors is drawing ever closer.

The Wolves will face the Wigan Warriors on Saturday 26th January at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, kick-off 3pm, in their final pre-season match before the new Super League campaign gets underway.

The Betfred Challenge is the only home pre-season fixture for the Wolves ahead of Super League XVIII. It promises to be an intriguing encounter between the Challenge Cup champions and the holders of the League Leaders Shield. Warrington will wear specially commissioned Super Bennie Westwood testimonial shirts for the occasion.

Wigan have said its because he demanded more money, then a move to Australia, then a move to another super league club. He then didn't return for pre season. The guy has real issues, when a club sticks by you during a 2 year drugs ban the least you can do is show some respect and not act like a spoilt brat, even if you want a move away. I really liked him as a player, but he appears to be a complete nob head. It wouldn't surprise me if there are other reasons why he was shown the door as well.

I can't see us challenging this year like we have the past few seasons. We have lost so many key players and either replaced them with average players, youth players or not at all. Unless Lennagan starts to spend big soon we will be left behind.

He's a good player but it goes without saying a lose cannon as well. I was at the game when he tried the eye gouging trick and that turned me against him. To be honest your better off as a team without him if that's his attitude to what is the top of the league side.

We don't play till Sunday

Yes indeed but after our last performance a win was needed especially as a confidence booster.

Leeds played well against hull last night as well. Big shock that Ellis was injured before the game even started

For anyone with Sky sports that has never watched Super League before and wants to see what all the fuss is about, may i suggest you watch the Warrington V Wigan game tonight. It will be a battle royal and a good introduction to the sport.

There going to be a bit of claret on the pitch

Quote:

"They've got some great players and they're well coached," Wane added of the Wolves, who triumphed 22-20 in a thriller at the DW Stadium last season.

"They're very competitive, they play a very physical game and they've got two good halves in (Richie) Myler and Lee Briers.

"It's no surprise to me that they're favourites. They're the benchmark, they're where I want to be. They're a bit of a bogey team for us."
