Ok so the line rental may be going up a wee bit but maybe there will be more calls included in the package?

For me the telephone isn't worth the money but the extra services in my package more than make up for it. |

But there is no guarantee that ditching the line with make the bundle better value |

So I either have to have a phoneline I dont use or a tv package I dont use. Or I can have no tv at all and just broadband? But the broadband with a ramped up price due to no phoneline. |

Re: Virgin media price increase
Another price rise on the phone , line rental was 11.99 when I joined then it went to 12.24 then 12.99 and now 13.90 from August what a rip off.

£13.90 just for a phoneline is a bit harsh when you think Talktalk will give you a phoneline and an ADSL-2 "upto" 24mb connection for £15. Although that connection could be anywhere from 4mb-24mb( where we are its between 11 and 12mb. |
Re: Virgin media price increase
They must be making a fortune out of the phone lines seeing as they use up so so little of the bandwidth capacity\spectrum or whatever anyway.
|
Re: Virgin media price increase
The new price list is now on VM's website. Free calls to include 0870 non geographic numbers (page 5). Better late than never !
|
Re: Virgin media price increase
It's a pity 0845 numbers aren't inlcuded too - they're a PITA.

Re: Virgin media price increase
Does a price increase mean my contract with them can be cancelled
|
Re: Virgin media price increase
It's the affected service only, so for this rise, only the phone
|
Re: Virgin media price increase
BenMCR
do you work for VM. |
Re: Virgin media price increase
If you look under his name, it says Virgin Media Staff.
|
Re: Virgin media price increase
I don't understand how they can increase the prices when I have a contract? It seems all the contract does to lock you in...

Re: Virgin media price increase
Does the phone increase effect the bundle prices? Will the VIP packages increase in august?
Regards John. |
Re: Virgin media price increase
Yes, the landline price is going up for all customers
|
Re: Virgin media price increase
VIRGINMEDIA Customers are facing 2 price hikes in 12 months.
SKY customers are getting a price freeze until August 2012. I suspect by August 2012 Virginmedia customers will of had ATLEAST 1 more price increase. But no extra content, No new HD, No Sky Atlantic.. |

Virgin Media Staff Re: Virgin media price increase It's the affected service only, so for this rise, only the phone If you have a Package deal, the increase should cancel the package contract not just the phone |
Re: Virgin media price increase
VM prices are just to expensive
Example VM L phone 13.90 + 4.00 = 17.90 just for evening and weekend , must be the dearest on the market VM L BB 12.50 and you get throttled for going over 1500mb between 4-9pm. 3.00 PVR tax on TIVO As a Sky Sports only subscriber theirs a 7.00 charge for HD and you get 2 HD channels. |
Re: Virgin media price increase
Quote:
How do you view the 3.00 Tivo fee as a tax and also Virgin's broadband is way superior to Sky's so customers do not mind paying that bit more. |
