Re: 2010 General Election: The Cable Forum Exit Poll
Some seats where challenged. 600 people turned away in a consistency with a 900 Lab Majority. Students turned away in Sheffield where Nick Clegg stands.

I predict the Lab/Lib collation would only be possible if Lib dems hit 70 or above.

Re: 2010 General Election: The Cable Forum Exit Poll
There seems to be a fairly consistent larger turnout across the country. Does this favour any party over another?

Let's be clear that the Lib Dems have not necessarily got a poorer showing yet. We need to see the share of the popular vote and key marginals could go their way. We have no clear idea of the swing across the country at the moment and there may be no clear swing with seats going all over the place. If Lib dems have significantly increased their vote and get less seats then that might cause some trouble. |

If the rules state that polls close at 2200 hours then the Electoral Commision needs to address the issue of polls that stayed open after 2200 hours.
Sky sources was saying Newcastle upon Tyne and Wallsend was staying open until everyone had voted, so in essence, I could have went at 2202 hours and stand in the queue and vote and my vote would be counted. |

I imagine the Labour MPs who have won close elections today would want their party to lose? After all vote share tends to go down the longer the party is in power so they risk losing their seat if Labour carried on.
