I was just reading the Tevez one too. So Utd will have spent about 50million this coming season, hope all those Utd supporters who moaned about Chelsea buying the premiership eat a huge slice of Humble pie!

Slight difference of course in that United were a well-established (some would say the TRUE) premiership-title winning side for several years before this spending spree. Chelsea were never considered one of the big 4 (or big 5, 6, etc) before Roman turned up.

Plus I think Chelsea spent a little more than £50m ;)

Got a feeling if any deal is done it will be a loan deal, with an actual full transfer this time next year, the problem is though, he has a playing contract with us and we don't want him to go, so unless he really wants to move, he'll still be with us next season

He is hero worshipped and has always been a favourite even when things were tough for him, I am sure he'll always get a warm welcome when he comes back but I am not convinced he'll go, partly due to your 'getting us into Europe' line, when he first arrived he said he wanted to emulate his hero Maradona at Napoli, there is absolutely no chance of that at Man Utd, he'll just be another big fish in a big pond

I think the theory there is, "Always ask for more than you know you might get".

The premier league has thrown their case out, an abitration panel has voted against their case, and I think the High Court will follow suit, unless McCabe knows otherwise, plus the hammers have been fined 5.5 million pounds, however,
As one decision was not possible, but the next best thing was possible but not granted, usually means, "You are wasting your time".

The only thing I don't understand is why did West Ham withold the third party interest, when signing the Argentinians, knowing it was against the rules. :confused:

Hmmm, Tevez is highly ambitious, he won't turn United down.

WHU could do with a handy way of paying the £5m fine plus get a decent player - they should be able to get someone decent for £15m and use the rest of his transfer fee on the fine.

He might be! Tbh I have been suspicious all summer, mainly due to us being linked to expensive strikers, it was either Ashton's injury being much worse than reported or we were selling him, it looked like both Pardew and Curbs didn't know what to do with Carlito, playing him on the right wing for instance, it was only when Curbs looked completely shell shocked towards the end he played him up front

Agree with the last sentiment, I have always liked the full blooded commitment of Heinze, very hard to choose between him and Evra, apart from the number of free kicks he gives away. he can play central defence if pushed. It would be a shame if he left now, a few good years left in him yet and the competition between him and Evra would keep them both on their toes.

As I understand it, West ham signed Tevez and Maschereno in the same deal via their so called agent...........so my question is, "How did Liverpool pull off the Maschereno deal without any hiccup" ?

The hiccup was that Liverpool offered them (MSI) a lot more money per season for him and under the terms of the third party agreement we had no power to stop him from moving, that is what has got us in all the trouble in the first place, tbh if I were you guy's I'd seriously consider who you are getting into bed with here, I wish we had last season, the whole thing has been a complete mess, compounded now by allegations of organised crime and money laundering levied against MSI, who have incidentally had their assets frozen, which presumably means Tevez and Macherano have an appointment at the cryogenics lab :shocked:

Rangers are another, there has been a lot of gossip about the other being Sheff Utd as it looks like their share price has been manipulated over the past few weeks, although imo that has more to do with people getting excited and deflated over court dates and outcomes etc but I have to admit I would find it so funny if it were true, oh the irony

dont think that is the reason there Russ...I think that he just wont be getting a regular 1st team place at Arsenal due to too many better younger fitter players that can play at the same position that Freddie played at ;)


I'm not going to say that arsenal are going to win anything AGAIN this season but hey look at the average age of the squad... with ManU it'll be Scholes, Giggs and some others that are going to retire next season.
