Yeh and if its one rule for one and one for another lets just hope that when the Football Association is to give a report to Uefa as part of the official investigation into the melee which erupted at half-time against Turkey they haul England over the coals as well as Turkey.

Perhaps they should dock England some points and Turkey and drop them into the play off Zone and do a redraw.

Would love to see Wales home to England at the Millennium stadium.

:)

another fine away win for the boys in red...bout time keano got on the scoresheet...
regarding the other teams , chelski v gooners was a good game but a draw would have been a fairer result...boro outclassed the toon and lost....posh peed on poor pool.....oh and somehow spurs won
apparently united have made their best start in ten years but they are still a point behind the gooners

I think you'll find Dudek tormented Liverpool last year, and he done it again today.

Suprise, suprise no penalty for 'pool at the end, what a shock :banghead:

A) didn't most of guys tell me in the spring that there was no way Man U would sell Beckham ;)

B) If Owen is so bad how come all of the following have rated him as a world class player : Pele, Rudd VN, Ronaldo, Alex F, Vieri, Zidane and Roberto Carlos.

Out of that list 5 of them were world or European player of the year, and 2 of them are with Man U in some way. So lets keep to the truth and not just random insults hey ;) :D

I love narrow mindedness, even when it is as a joke, really I do ;)

People talk about him being nothing but pace, when in the truth he has lost a lot of of his speed over the last few years, he has bulked up. Next comes he is one footed (it's normally the next argument) he scored 40% of his goals last season with his left foot.

Then we have but he has never proved himself on the big stage, 20 goals a season for his club even when they have been playing ultra defensive for 3 seasons, an amazing scoring record for his country.

Any more? :D

Liverpool should have had a penalty, but they didn't, that's life, in all fairness if Mr H would take Heskey off the pitch any one of the other strikers on the team would have finsihed that one at the end.

It was an entertaining game, Dudek was bad and would think he will be bench warmer for a bit. Kewell was our best guy again, and Pongolle looked so exciting that I hate that he has to start on the bench while Heskey gets picked first choice strkier.

iadom 10-11-2003 11:00

Re: The Mighty Man utd.

It's fortunate that G.Poll and not Mr Durkin was the ref. Did you see that appalling decision in the Chelsea v Newcastle game. I think it may just have been a penalty at Anfield and even Sir Alec thought a draw would have been a fair result.
Still a good 3 points though.:)
Edit. M Owen is a very good player BTW.

Was a good game. I was on tenderhooks after Liverpool equalised. Great tackle by Silvester on Murphy, lucky for us that Heskeys feet went from under him!

As for the penalty decision, nine times out of ten those are given.

the only thing is owen scored 20 goals in the 20 games a season he regularly plays for liverpool....if he ever managed a full season instead of his normal half liverpool wouldnt be 9th in the league and taking another home beating they can ill afford.....also england would have one less regular injury worry.......no great player has ever spent half his career on the treatment couch as owen does (and yes i do like owen)

I watched the highlights of the Leeds v Chelsea game and to be honest, I thought Viduka played like someone who was trying to impress. In fact I was impressed by the effort and commitment of the whole team, It's just a pity they didn't do it for Peter Reid. Viduka has got something and to get him on loan would be a shrewd move IMHO. Remember what he did at Arsenal last season.

still on top of the league with another win against everton but it got a bit tight towards the end when drunkenduncan scored , mind you gary neville did give them a freebie......
chelsea bit the dust badly at charlton.....i new they would start to fall apart at the first signs of cold weather..
thierry won arsenal another game.......without him they would be in the bottom half of the table and struggling...

I won't say Chelsea's season is over yet, although I did mention back at the start of the season that longevity was the key. United are past masters of turning up the heat when it matters the most, Arsenal haven't proven to me yet that they can consistantly raise their game when needed and Chelsea.....although a they're a team filled with good players I still can't take them seriously as title contenders yet.

Still a "Curates Egg" of a performance, but with six changes a satisfactory result. Ronaldo had his best game so far, except for the ankle clutching, rolling in agony performance, after what was an excellent tackle in the box from the Everton defender.

On another note, I have just found that I can view MUTV on channel 44 even though I do not subscribe. Is this a Christmas bonus, it is not listed as a Guest Channel in the Ntl Radio Times.

I thought it was a great match, very entertaining. Lots of passion shown by all players.

A fantastic save by Schwarzer in the second half.

about time we had a decent win in the cup.....
for some reason we made villa seem like an half decent team in the first half....however the arrival of ruudy and the way giggsy stepped the team up a gear in the second half made it all look nice again at the end

Didn't see any of the match cos I was in the land of nod but glad we've got through. Hope we don't get the Gunners in the draw tomorrow, here's hoping a home match against a lower division club :D
