I'm not claiming they are doomed , my belief is they simply won't find subscribers as easy to come by over the next few years as the OTT competition heats up further that's not to say they won't increase just not at the levels they have been.

Time will tell I guess.

The new UK version of Britbox, incorporating BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 shows aims to do just that, Den. The old Kangaroo project resurrected.

Netflix are going to find it harder as broadcasters start to remove their content from the service.

I don't know, there's more original content on Netflix than anywhere else and certainly, that's all I watch on Netflix. Yet it's going to take me a good few years to watch everything I've already flagged up.

I don't understand why you see the withdrawal of old material from our British TV channels as being a problem for Netflix, to be honest.

I think they will be the best streaming service for some time yet!

Just started watching a show called "Goliath" on Amazon, OB, I think you'd like it, got some good actors in it.

Not sure that will appease some following the UKTV fallout.

Something that's long overdue in my opinion.

Depends what they do - I hate the new TV app as you can't filter out the paid content anymore. On the older app you could choose to only show content 'Include with Prime'

Agreed , but then in my opinion it would be pretty hard to make it any worse. The Roku Amazon app is the worst of them all so hopefully that gets an update.

£17.90 per month for 10 months?

Christ, you can get Netflix and Amazon for that! For the whole year, as well.

I'm simply comparing value, MM.

I cannot understand for one minute why any man would pay that much to see a bunch of guys kicking a football about. I see that on occasional weekends with my grandkids, but it only gives me satisfaction because they are my grandkids.

But, hey ho. I'm sure your wife is on my side.
