Is ESPN likely to be removed from XL TV?

the article states that ESPN and SKY have agreed to a deal to pay the SPL for the rights to air the SPL matches thats all, there is nothing that changes in regards to ESPN and their current pay tv contracts. its a content only deal for the channel to air content and nothing to do with VM in regards to if the channel stays on XL or goes subcription only. |

I read it to mean that should Virgin drop ESPN in future they would not pay to subscribe to it.

I think if VM dropped ESPN from the XL package, l would seriously drop VM altogether,.
What a major problem is with VM is that they drop channels without contacting customers, with Sky they don't, VM have this set routine that they waste so much money on leaflets etc, and yet they 'con' the customers with all these deals, and don't live up to it. |

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2011) Vol. III.
All this argument over Sky and VM, l have said before on this forum that if you want cheap packages, then go to VM, if you want similar cheap packages go to Sky.
For what you get for the cost its Sky for me, the channels etc, and Sky are not scared about investing for the customers, that US. Sadly VM lag behind as they won't invest for the customer, they will for BB as that's what is making them money, but the channel content lags behind drastically. The HD contents lacks behind Sky, CS on VM lacks on pr with the consumer as most of the time, they don't understand what you are saying. This might be a criticism on VM, but if you don't pay that extra quid, which VM customers don't want to pay, then you won't get the channels. VM are in business to make money, but they must know through forums like this what VM think of them. And l am certain that VM read this forum, as l contacted VM one day, and they know this forum very well. |
