Has anyone checked if the power use is significantly different in standby ? If not I'll get my monitor out.

I would have thought it'll make little difference. The box is still active, just the tv output is turned off...

Tivo doesn't have a dynamic guide update system even though sky and, I believe, freeview do. I think tivo updates at reglar intervals though.

Re: TiVo

Seeing as I haven't heard anything still I might now wait till the other Tivo box comes out in June. I know it has a smaller hard drive but it's only going to cost £49 instead of £149,and I don't record a lot anyhow so it might suit me better.

I wonder if this opens the way for LoveFilm to stream directly to TiVo enabled TVs. http://www.pcr-online.biz/news/35962...-connected-TVs

Yes it's normal for HD shows to be listed in my shows and the HD folder.

Didn't you add any padding on to the end?

Just to come back to the third tuner activation. When this does get pushed out to our boxes will there be any notification - in the message section for example?

Had "The" call this morning ... Yippee its time for TiVo !

As like "Big Ted" I'm 3 X XL

Didnt get the raffle ticket but did enter on line following the on screen TiVo pop up prompt.Had registered on day 1 in December.

Very Nice scottish lady called and offered me Free box,Instal,Activation & Subscription for 12 Months, and offered to take away my standard box and relocate my V+ all in under 3 hours next tuesday afternoon .

:)
Most Happy now....

Well 1 week on from instalation ...

I love it !

It really has changed the way I watch TV .. Not watched live TV since having it, I have watched more TV but in less time ... whats an advert ? lol.

Agree suggestions are a little odd at times-Come dine with me prompted tivo to offer all manner of cookery shows.

and yes 2 tuners are limiting at times but fingers crossed #3 will activate this week.

Couple of things on the wish list but very happy with it.;)
