Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Thanks I watched both Expendables. I did enjoy them both but a couple of the green screen stuff was too obvious, way too obvious.
Any other suggestions? |

I watched this on Netflix earlier - much better than I thought.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0443771/ Oddly I found myself quite liking a couple of the characters too ;) |

Godzilla 2014 9/10
Totally loved it, a lot of suspense and action. Great story and very much a sequal to the 1954 original. |
Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Just watched Pacific Rim with the family I liked it, but then again I like action/adventure. I find it quite hard to find a film that we all can watch with the kids as one is 11 and the other 21, we all enjoyed this film.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Just got back from Godzilla which was ok. Shame the new cinema (st Neots) was pretty crap.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Wednesday -
X-Men: Days of Future Past (cinema, 3D) 8/10 Not as good as X-Men 2 or X-Men: First Class, but still very good. 3D was pointless, though. This weekend - The Matrix (BD) 10/10. 15 years old and still awesome. Pacific Rim (3D BD) This was the first time I've seen Pacific Rim in 3D and it was awesome - it joins the small list of 3D films that I think have both good *and* worthwhile use of 3D (e.g. Avatar, Gravity, Prometheus, DREDD...). This was also the 2nd test of my new AVR (the first was The Matrix yesterday, with uncompressed 5.1 LPCM from the X1), and the DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack was brilliant. Anyway. The film may be a cliched cheesefest, but for pure fun and awesomeness it's a 9/10. |

The Lego movie.
6/10 Overhyped. |

X-Men days of future past 8/10
Thought it was fantastic and good use of older and younger cast. ---------- Post added at 20:02 ---------- Previous post was at 20:01 ---------- Quote:

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Oh crap - dunno what I was doing there, but there's no way I'd give Last Stand anything like that :erm: :dunce:
I meant Days of Future Past :o: --------- Casino Royale (BD) Daniel Craig's first Bond isn't his best (nor his worst), but it's still a bloody good film, and a welcome reboot for the franchise after the ABSOLUTELY AWFUL Die Another Day. Eva Green is also the most stunningly beautiful "Bond Girl" ever. 8/10 |

X-Men: Days of Future Past 8/10.
Really enjoyed it, and they have almost re-booted the X-Men universe (just like Star Trek did). |
Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Yup, DOFP and First Class before it are definitely more like reboots of the franchise than standard prequels or sequels.
First Class had already introduced a variety of inconsistencies with the original trilogy, and DOFP has introduced even more (even before the time travel...). |
Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Just got back from seeing a million ways to die in the west - I liked it :)
