Ederson would've saved that. He's down way too late. Harsh on City this but not sure where I stand on Wolves' second goal. If you give that then the easiest way to draw a foul is to stand in front of the ball with your arms out. It's a dodgy one.

Losing Aguero so early is a game changer with the red.

He did exactly the same challenge on Sterling at the other and and it was a free kick, I’m all for a good shoulder charge but I still maintain he barged Mendy in the back. Granted he should have got rid quicker but that was a foul, no question.

But is it not a game where fair physical challenges are still allowed or is it a non contact sport now.

There is a fair physical challenge and a barge in the back, that was a barge in the back.

They might have bottomless pit of oil money which has bought recent success but they will never be as big as United.:p:

Re: Season 2019/2020 Football

Turning up to see a Newcastle game is something I'm just unwilling to do. Even skipped watching matches this season. Breaking my neck to just watch them with work scheduling became worthless when the fatty turfed Benitez off then had to go through 11 rejections from various managers to eventually landing on Steve Bruce, the only guy daft enough to take such an awful job.

I was annoyed and angry at the start. With form like the £40m Joelinton, I'm still both but now worried given the only reason he was bought was for future value

We always had the impression that despite being an absolute arse, Ashley had a business plan, he knew what he was doing in business form at least. Given the Sports Direct International revelations (Belgian tax and absolute disastrous HoF and Game purchases) then delaying conferences because he knew the stock would absolutely tank. All that really told me is he really is just an arse, not a clever businessman, an absolute gambler that's really starting to go backwards fast.

3rd goal of the season disallowed because the players armpit was judged to be offside. Getting as embarrassing as the world cup this. Imagine having a system to allegedly make it easier but ran by the people the same people we were trying to make it replace

Spurs then score, of course they do.

That's dismal. Really dismal.

It would appear that those behind the monitors in the VAR room are doing everything in their power to make sure it looks absolutely crap. Once again, VAR isn't an issue, the people using it are, just like the World Cup which produced some hilarious decisions. Seemingly also forgot, to be used to correct a clear and obvious error. As above with the other two armpit mysteries, what was clear or obvious?

A) We really need to review the crap out of clear and obvious
B) We need to change offside rules to be measured from the feet.
C) Mimicking A, if it's not clear and obvious an attacker gets the benefit of any decision. Being ahead by an armpit or a few centimeters hasn't gained him any monumental advantage. If you have to actually draw a line to compare and can't work it out simply via naked eye then he's automatically onside.

This isn't Formula One, where a millisecond is a lot.

There doesn't seem to be an issue in any other league when it comes to stuff like this. They give the attacker the benefit. The FA and Premier League are embarrassing themselves.
