If you say so Hugh.....

Personally I don't see how watching England go out in the first round of the World Cup in UHD is going to be any better. The more blurred it is , the better....

If you want blurred, have a few drinks - a lot of people want to watch in UHD as others across the continent will be, not much to ask really.

Why don’t you go back to watching it on a black and white 10 inch TV in mono?

Technology advances, and if you don’t want to join in, you don’t have to - it also isn’t necessary to urinate in others’ chips that do want to.

I've never urinated in anyone's chips !
Still searching for some humour on these forums, technobabble threads like this are fair game - I won't give up ! :). Maybe we should be focussing on the quality of the programmes rather than the PQ.

Again, not mutually exclusive- it’s not an either/or scenario, no matter how many times you try to position it as such...

It certainly looks like we are finally starting to turn the corner with UHD! Another good reason to watch streamed sport events!

I’ve noticed the Eurosport 4K feed has no Dolby Digital track compared to the HD one.

No ads too, which is a bonus.

Is the V6 HLG capable for BBC iPlayer?

I believe so it's just down to the TVs

Hmm to me the Eurosport 4K tennis seems to have improved the last day or two when compared to the first two days. Maybe there was some kind of issue at first interfering with it reaching it's full potential. Anyone else think it's improved?

I quite enjoy watching the feed now, whereas at first it didn't seem all that great. The BT footy seemed much better.

It could be a lottery for viewers - it says: It will limit the number of screens with access, and will do so on a first-come first-served basis.

Each will be limited to "tens of thousands of people" - the exact number of iPlayer-equipped devices has not been specified in advance.

It kind of reminds me of 3D and that did not end up well...

If done well, live sports coverage could help drive demand, but the risk is that it feels like a gimmick.

If it's anything like the planet earth trial VMs V6 boxes won't get access to it whilst Sky Q users will
