BT have come into the market primarily to use sport to gain broadband customers and their chief target remains BSkyB. If not they would never have agreed to let their sport onto the XL pack.... ---------- Post added at 16:11 ---------- Previous post was at 16:10 ---------- Quote:

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2014) Vol. 3
Confused. I cancelled the sport last month as it's a quiet summer.
What are my options? What is this £150 thing? |
Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2014) Vol. 3
If you are on or order the Big Kahuna package you can prepay £150 for ten months of Sky Sports in SD rather than it costing £27.25 per month......

Ah right I see. Thanks. Can you do a similar thing if you want HD sports?

VM may think that having the "in the clear" Sky Sports News channel in such a prominent position on the EPG may drive new Sky Sports subscriptions. What other reasons can they have for putting a minority channel right in front of the premium channels? |
Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2014) Vol. 3
A lot of customers watch Sky Sports News and Sky advertise their sports channels all the time on there so by putting it at 501 they believe it will attract people to subscribe to the Sky Sports premium channels one suspects.
