Some doctors don't like prescribing the expensive stuff dilli. Give it a year or so and you will soon be getting letters saying they will be changing your medication to a cheaper one. Sucks.

Seem to have caught a snotty cold with a sore throat. Not sure when. Probably a result of using public transport. First one for over three years.

OH keeps looking at me as if I've got ebola. :(

Sympathy. I guess he'll get it as well so we can suffer together. The only plus will be I get to recover first.

Hope you all are feeling better soon heero, den and dilli.

Don't know what I was worried about yesterday, today went well can not really remember the colonoscopy. Afterwards the nurse spoke to me about the results where they found some inflammation and the examiner has recommended an MRI scan as quote "the bowel prep was not as good as they would have liked it to be" don't know how as I took it as instructed over all I'm happy because at least some of my symptoms can be explained. Just to wait for the biopsy results for the tissue they removed.

Glad not as bad as you thought, good luck for the MRI.

Waiting for a parcel from Yodel today. Dreading what state it will arrive in judging by horror stories I have read online.

They did not seem to worried when they explained that they would be recommending I get a MRI, I think it's because the the bowel prep was not as good as they would have liked it to be.
Fingers crossed, and no it was not as bad I thought. I told the doctor I felt uncomfortable then he gave me a top up of sedation then before I knew it I was in the recovery room :) TBH the moviprep was the worst.

Good to hear you got the extra top up it makes the world of difference weenie. just wish they would find a way to make the Moviprep more palatable.

To be honest with you jo, I found drinking the first batch not to bad but the second one was really difficult felt sick. Your tip of holding your nose worked so thanks for that. All I'm saying is what an experience after drinking the stuff you would think they could make it tablet form and to drink 3L of water afterwards. But no it is not to nice at all. The added top up was great all I remember is him saying it's okay your doing fine it's just some air your feeling then nothing. I know they say they don't put you to sleep but I'm pretty sure they knocked me out as I woke up in the recovery room.

I know what you mean about the fluids you have to take weenie. I have tried making the dang stuff up with less water then drinking pure water straight afterwards but nothing helps. it is just something that has to be got through. :(

I have had quite a few colonoscopys and each time I seem to lose focus. I remember most of the procedure and can kind of remember being reassured that it is almost over but nothing specific. Being back on the recovery ward is always a good feeling and the cup of tea is a highlight of the whole experience. :)

Fingers crossed that this is the one and only time you have to face Moviprep. The MRI is a pleasant walk in the park compared to the dreaded Moviprep experience

Really hate the drowsy, nauseous effect my painkillers are having on me.

I've got a renewed sympathy for the people with serious conditions on umpteen different combinations of drugs.
