I'm standing under a tree at bressingham gardens in the shade, feels like 31c instead of 38c at home. I've actually got a bit of a congestion cold. lol

We are constantly being told to insulate our homes to reduce energy use to heat them in the winter.

But now we are being told to remove any air conditioning we have if our homes get too hot during the summer.

"Just open a window".

35.9°C here yesterday, a record for Wales, and our bedroom was at 30°C all day and all night with the windows and door wide open.

Well that was a horrible night sleep! Bedroom never got below 28.5°C. Still no rain or thunder that was expected overnight.

It quite obviously rained here at some time of the early morning, but now most signs of 'wetness' are fading fast under the blazing sun.

Probably going to be another 'cold buffet' main meal today
