NBC Universal shows coming to Virgin Media TV On Demand in HD

Virgin Media today announced a deal with NBC Universal International Television Distribution for the video-on-demand rights in the UK to a broad selection of NBC Universal series. Under the terms of the agreement, these titles will be offered as new content across Virgin Media’s three entertainment platforms; TV, online and mobile. From the 1st December Virgin Media customers will be able to access past seasons of great shows such as House, Heroes, The Office (U.S.) and 30 Rock, whether in HD at home through its TV On Demand service or via its online and mobile ‘Virgin Media Player’ services.

This confirms Sky Atlantic is EXCLUSIVE to sky ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh I give up :(

The info I have says Sky Atlantic (Not in HD) will be on Virgin Media. The only exclusive I see is the HBO Shows.

Sky has confirmed plans to reshuffle its entertainment channel lineup from next year, including the rebranding of Living TV and arrival of new channel Sky Atlantic.

From early 2011, tent from the satellite broSky Atlantic will launch exclusively on Sky to host conadcaster's recent multi-million pound deal with US studio HBO.

Read the press release this DS article is taken from and see if you can see the phrase "exclusive to/on Sky" anywhere.

Whilst I doubt we'll get it in HD, I can't see the reason why we won't get the SD version. Sky customers will be happy with the HD exclusive, advertisers will be satisfied with the same exposure they get with the rest of the Sky channels.

I'm sorry, I wouldn't trust a DS article to confirm today's date, never mind the future carriage details of a television channel.

Virgin and ITV are still in talks over the new ITV HD Channels.

BBC One HD launches November 3rd on Virgin Channel 108.
