Re: ntl email 'complex' failure

The Register seems to offer better information on what's going on than NTL does. Maybe NTL should buy the site so they can offer better customer service? ;)

You pay for your connection. Email is just something they provide as a free extra (not a very good extra atm).

I suspect they are not going to spend much time and money on a system that is suffering badly when it is due to be dumped for a new platform in June ?

That may be how NTL sell the service, but at the end of the day the e-mail service isn`t free, that would imply that NTL are running it at a loss out of the goodness of their hearts, something that I can`t see holding true for the higher management, nor something that would be tolerated by their creditors. It's only "free" in the sense that they don`t charge you extra to have e-mail, but there is at least a percentage of the subscription charge going towards paying for the cost of the e-mail.

Well at least *someone* has bothered to let us know what is going on, ntl's information for customers on the subject is timed about two hours *after* that information from El Reg...!

Even that isn't true now!

There is now a problem with incomming email.

Isn't it regarding the ?fact that a dead woman will float 'titsup' (and a man floats face down)--I don't know if this is true btw :disturbd:

AIUI it's that dead animals are supposed to lie on their backs, hence their tits are pointing upwards.
