You would think Virgin would be trying to look after existing customers instead of the new customers, but that has been Virgin's method for so long.

It would be nice of Virgin to send out the Newer Superhubs to existing customers on the higher packages as a sort of goodwill gesture for having to put up with the problems, obviously with a Return label for your current Superhub.

But i guess the above is just wishful thinking...

Now that's interesting, do share what process you went though to get that kind of deal.

I can completely understand the desire of SH1 router mode users to switch to a SH2. It's a head & shoulders improvement on its predecessor based on my own experience over the past 6 weeks in router mode.

I will be switching back to modem modem when all the trials are completed but I don't feel that I have to at all.

Incidentally I've got three wireless devices operating within a few inches of each other and I have no collision problems; two are on the VM network, one is on the BT Infinity network.

Plus this amazing TBB graph:

do old customers on 120Mb broadband get new superhub 2 free of charge?
because they pay more money a month.

From what I have seen, it's "free" but have to pay a £49.95 installation fee which is a rather expensive really for a hub swap out.

I don't understand what all this flap about cost is. The shub2 should be free cpe to all customers on 30mbit and above once stock of shub1 has been run through. Shub1 is end of life so it isn't like they have planned to run the two models on the network side by side and you get shub1 for free but if you want a more advanced model you pay for it.

My gripe is the cost which is high when it's just a modem swap which usually does not take long, about 10-15mins at most judging by the 2 SH1 swap outs I unfortunately had happen to me in the past.
