Japan has money, corporations that feed the beast called fifa. They might want Japan to at least be on when the japanese can watch it (commercial sense).

So why only that one game, if it was a money issue then surely their other group games would be on at a time to suit the Japanese audience? Also Kia/Hyundai are one of FIFA's main sponsors.

England were down for the 2am game and Japan for the 11pm slot when the draw was made. They swapped our game with the Japan one because of the European audiences. If only one European team were playing at 2am I doubt they'd have moved it. I think nomadking has the correct reason as well.

Even 11pm is late for a good many people so l will get my nap just after the first match today is finished in order to prepare myself for a very long night.:sleep:

Where have ITVs sound engineers gone? They will probably put the adverts on soon.

Don't get me wrong, want England to win. But will not be a happy person if people are out shouting in the street tonight during the game. I will soon be out of my window telling them to shut up and get lost. Was kept up until half one this morning due to an inconsiderate neighbour having a party.

There is an advantage being in Scotland...no danger of having someone shouting (unless a few celebrate a loss :D).
