Re: Football talk

Well I did say the answer was in my post. Of the 12 original members of the 1888 Football League six teams came from the fair county of LANCASHIRE, more than any other county. The same still applies today:)

Sorry, Everton, Blackburn, Bolton & Wolves are also original members of the Football League.

Its never over till the fat bloke sings, but i must admit things are beginning to look slighty grim, and I still maintain what I said here is the underlying cause of united's problems in defence, I am sure ferguson doesn't need telling that either.

Re: Football talk

What is the opinion regarding the planned disruption to the Cheltenham Festival by Man U fans?

Personally I don't think they will be doing themselves any favours and it will only drag the name of football even further into the gutter. They will be seen as hooligans and nothing else.

Also they will be asking for trouble from the hundreds of Irish racing fans for who the festival is the highlight of their calender.

I accept they may wish to protest, but that is not the best way to get their point accross.

Don't you think it would be better though for every fan to buy 1 share ( about £10.00 ish) and have a voice through that channel? :)
