I have very limited play time the next 2 weeks as I'm working away a lot and wont have my xbox with me! Should give you plenty chance to beat some of the times. Best advise I can give is to view some of the replays of the best times and take some tips from that. From the track selection screen, hit Y for leaderboards then either view friends replays or Overall and hit Y again to play the replay. You will be able to watch the run back in slow motion if you want and see all the button presses at the bottom right. Gave me a lot of ideas. |

Before I had my x52 joystick I was playing with an xbox 360 controller. It played fine with that.

Nope.
Apparently it works very well with an Xbox controller anyway. Dilli said he used to use a 360 pad, and David Braben himself uses an Xbox controller... http://news.xbox.com/2015/03/games-elite-dangerous |

Re: The Xbox One Thread
For anyone that has Titanfall, the Season Pass is available for Free from the xbox store at the moment. It's basically a load of new maps and I wish I never bought it with the game originally but since it's free, make sure you grab it!
|
Re: The Xbox One Thread
I think the deal i got was £5 at Christmas, but free is a must.
I am so glad i went all digital and always hold off buying new games waiting for deals as it has saved me a fortune and made things cheaper than discs on many occasions. |

Battlefield Hardline 10 hour trial available on EA Access.

Re: The Xbox One Thread
Just signed up to Netflix and changed the DNS settings on the Xbox One to USA, it was so easy, how often will i have to change the DNS settings?
|
Re: The Xbox One Thread
You shouldn't need to put them in again, as long as you don't change back to UK settings. In which case, you WILL need to put the US DNS settings in again.
|
Re: The Xbox One Thread
If you use Unblock-US then you can just change your region instead of messing with the DNS...
|
Re: The Xbox One Thread
Yup, much easier to use Unblock-Us' Netflix region switcher than keep altering the DNS settings. It also means you can switch to Netflix regions other than just the US and UK.
|

Re: The Xbox One Thread
https://www.unblock-us.com/
It costs $4.99 per month, or $49.90 a year, but is IMO well worth it if you want to watch more than just Netflix UK. The region switcher on the website means that if you want to go back to Netflix UK from Netflix US (or vice versa), you don't need to touch the DNS settings on the Xbox (or whatever device you use them on) - you just change regions on the website. It also opens it up to other Netflix regions such as Canada and various ones in Europe etc. Yes, it costs a small amount each month, but it's an established company with a good rep. There's no way that I'd use some random anonymous DNS settings found via Googling or whatever. |
Re: The Xbox One Thread
I've used Unblock-us now for around 2 years. Minimal amount to pay each month for the chance to watch other regions. You touch the settings once, to put the DNS settings from Unblock in, then use the website to change the region as and when you want to change it.
New users get a week free as well, so worth a try. |
Re: The Xbox One Thread
Think I will stick to how I do it now as I don't want to pay for it as already paying for newsgroup access and it all adds up.
Hopefully I won't need to change the DNS too often. |

Also, so people can work out the right exchange rate they charge in CANADIAN Dollars, not US Dollars. Which means at the current rate, it is only £2.65 a month or over 12 months £31.80

Re: The Xbox One Thread
Anyone who plays Forza 2, is it worth buying the Storm Island pack? I keep being pushed to buy it, but at the moment I cannot justify the £16 to get the pack.

I *finally* started on Sunset Overdrive a week ago.
It is AWESOME! :D Definitely recommend it :) |
Re: The Xbox One Thread
I need to play that more. I'm only up to the part that gives you the new base

I don't think it can be classed as an expansion at all there is to much in it to class it as an expansion imo. I've really been enjoying it.
Some of the new online modes are great fun. Single player is ok too. |

Re: The Xbox One Thread
Saw that announced a while ago about the pc and xbox being able to play against each other etc, but the one issue I have is that all the console COD players will stop it working with the likes of FPS games, because of the keyboard and mouse on the pc.
Will have to see what happens but if I can play COD or something else on my pc and compete against people on Xbox then I am all for it, aslong as those on pc are forced to use the controller although I am getting better with it. |
Re: The Xbox One Thread
I expect MS will bring out an update so that you can use a keyboard & mouse.
|
Re: The Xbox One Thread
So Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast and the Furious is out today. Free until the 10th April, then it will be £7.99.
Its pretty much FH2 with F&F cars, but thats not a bad thing, a great game that doesn't need FH2 to run. |

I do like seeing the Air Intake working on the Dodge Charger.

Are you still disk free and downloading all your games digitally like me? Do you know of any sites other than CDkeys that i can get cheap codes from? |
Re: The Xbox One Thread
You really should play Sunset Overdrive :)
One of my fave Xbox One exclusives, and one of my fave new* games so far of the new generation. *(excluding the endless remakes/remasters etc.). Yup, still only buying digital downloads. I almost always buy my Xbox credit from CDKeys.com. I did try an eBay seller once, but it turned into a massive hassle so I've avoided that route since then. |

Re: The Xbox One Thread
I've used SimplyCDKeys.com before for Xbox store credit. Never had any issues. I tend to stick with CDKeys.com though as they usually have a better price, at least for the credit.
I would *never* use any of those sites that sell actual accounts. Buying/selling MS/Xbox accounts is a clear violation of the terms of use, and as such there's a risk that doing so could get your account banned and the content you've bought revoked. |
Re: The Xbox One Thread
You could also get your Xbox banned as well? Or is that just 360? I know I wouldn't waste the money buying accounts that have 1 game on it. It's not worth the hassle in the end. It's why I love CDKeys. I think I've had to provide ID about 3 times out of the hundreds of pounds I've spent with them.

You could say it's a demo, you have to win races to collect cars from F&F, you do start with the Dodge Charger from the first film, with working blower

It's free now and after the 10th April it will be £7.99 |

Re: The Xbox One Thread
I've got an 80GB formatted portable HD and when I plug it in it only shows up under media player. How do I set it up so the Xbox uses it as additional storage for content?
|
Re: The Xbox One Thread
I think it has to be 250GB or larger for the Xbox to be able to use it as a storage drive. Anything less and it will just see it as a media drive

Re: The Xbox One Thread
I've been told that Battlefield Hardline need a patch for shotguns as there is a 1 second delay on them, which explains why I got owned a handgun.
I wish there could be a ban on snipers as many get kills sitting in an area where we cannot reach them or get one shot kills firing off the hip |
