Do the 3 red lights on the front of box not give you a hint? ;)

Then you can chose what programme you want to lose so you can watch the 4th channel

Well that took a few posts, but we got there. Thats my point, you will have to lose a recording. Surely if your warned before hand, ie when setting the recordings, you have a chance to choose a later repeat ( if available)?

Warned how? It's not a clash, because you are asking for 3 recordings with 3 tuners. TiVo doesn't know that you might want to watch a 4th channel or not at the time you set the recordings or series link (which may have been weeks or months before)

I'm sure you'll cope , my Sky box only has two tuners meaning I can only record 2 and watch a recorded show :D

But a simple 'warning' not to attempt to watch a prog at these times, similar to its padding 'clashes' wouldnt hurt.
As iv set three recordings before at the same time, accidentally, gone off to work and left the wife bermused at the 'pop up' when the recordings start.

I think you are over complicating things :D

if you get the pop up, you can choose which one to cancel, TiVo will then see that recording as a clash and search for the next repeat.

Just thought I would share the nice surprise call I just had. I got my Tivo installed on the 3rd May, but never got the call for the free multi room offer with my old silver Samsung box. For some odd reason my parents got a call concerning my Tivo install, despite being moved out for 6 years.

I sent an email saying I would have loved to have taken up the free multiroom, but seeing as they rang the wrong house, its probably a bit late now my old box has gone.

Then tonight I get a phone call saying they have just found my email and would I still be interested in the offer. I said I would but my box got taken away, so he said I could have a free V+ box, free install and no monthly charge.

V pleased! :tu::D

At last, someone on a 'help forum'.... 'helped'!;)

Okay. Now I'm embarrased as I thought it would be obvious it does that. I keep forgetting that a lot of people have no prior experience of Tivo :o::dunce:

Anyone else getting "Sorry, there's been a technical glitch. Unfortunately, you won't be able to record this programme." when trying to record from Tv listing on the website.
