Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
Agreed with the thoughts on BT sport yesterday. Why were they outside the studio anyway? Ginola though I loved him as a player was pretty bad. Contradicting himself. Owen Hargreaves was monotone throughout.
I wonder do BT actually test these pundits out or literally just hire them on name value?? If there were auditions whoever hired them needs to be sacked. If they didn't have auditions then now is the time to have them.... |
Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
At the moment and it hurts me :bigcry: to say this is that Sky Sports coverage and presenters are way ahead of the pack :clap:

I find Michael Owen a bit bland, because his voice is quite boring. But, he was a top top player (!), and his opinions are interesting. And what's more he doesn't shy away from voicing them. Last week he said he played a year with Soldado at Madrid and doesn't rate him. No "the system doesn't suit him" or "AVB isn't getting the best out of him" but simply "I was once a world class striker, I played for some of the best teams in the world, I trained every day with this guy for a year and he really isn't all that". You just can't beat the inside track like that. Hansen, as good as he was, is twenty years out of the game. Halsey was a failed experiment, I'm hoping his absence yesterday means they've given up on it, but I have to give them top marks for trying. |

We have not disgraced ourselves so far. They have vastly larger sums of money than us, and, ultimately they are the best part of two leagues above us. We have given them some problems today, and it has taken a couple of decent goals for them to have the lead. The second goal appears to have finished us off, but the scoreline is pretty fair I guess. I just hope it stays at 2-0, anymore would be unfair. |

A few comments to bump up the price BBC or ITV end up paying. I'm looking forward to this, but it'll die if it starts on pay TV.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
To be honest, l don't watch BT Sport at all unless Spurs are playing. I think the total presentation of there sport is extremely poor - compared to Sky.
There is no thought that goes into the production o the channel. To me they should totally relaunch the channel, and get rid of some of the presenters - especially Micheal Owen. Total rubbish. |
Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
I have to say I find the mix of sports on BT pretty poor and I only watch very occasionaly. I am gratful that ESPN is still available as an American sports fan.
