wont do this imagine shareholders wont be pleased would not be shocked they already not happy.

I also can imagine SKRILL new sponsors conference angry loss potential viewers to conference football.

I would for like to see virgin be frank/honest to its customers. Lies deceit go only so far. The should traffic light coming soon in general terms. How many stalls been petty holdups by virgin trying play too hardball.

just while the war goes on seems XL got watered even more

Nick Jnr (715)
Previously: XL pack
Now: L pack

Comedy Central +1 (133)
Previously: XL pack
Now: L pack

makes no sense to make XL weaker unless there hoping people go pay top whack for the vip/colections they call it now.

Its almost they diluting the XL. How much did XL monthly subs go up to cover ESPN then surely Virgin should reduce it by those subs.

It is a shame that VM didnt get channels as more people can get the channels even at extra cost. Amybe BT think they can rival VM as number 2 TV provider. Do people think that BT are in the sports game for the long term just like Sky is. Sky Sports is over 20 years old, will BT Sport get that milestone? P.S. Changed my details to show i have BT Sport and ESPN :D:D

no cant see BT lasting over 20 years like sky have and cant see the BT spending the billions to compete with sky they all ready just under 2 billion behind sky on the football alone no way they beat sky on that sky will keep upping bids to they get rid of bt just like sentanta and espn

It says in The Sun today that BT have said they will sell it WHOLESALE to VM, but not at the price VM want to pay. So there you all go, confidentiality out the window, the thing is for him to say that they must be quite a distance apart in their valuation, this is Atlantic all over again and unless VM change their tactics we will still be talking about it in 2 years... Just like Atlantic.

Well, they've signed a 10 year lease to facilitate BT Sports.

Lol, it's a bit happy clappy for some residents, but some villagers do like it :)

You have to ask the question also if you think bt sports is coming soon why are retentions giving people 10 quid reduction in price ?? Think virgin have no chance of getting bt sports in xl package if it comes we will be paying bt for it... anyways I'm done. Till tomorrow adios amigos

Customer retention whilst talks are ongoing. I would imagine that these discounts will cease if/when BT Sports arrives.

I can't remember the last time people were this angry at VM since the day Telewest killed everyone's TVDrives for about four hours.

All Virgin Media Customers Attention!

I have just got off the phone with a member of the CEO Office @ Virgin Media Ltd.

She has just advised me that customers in contracts with TV XL or ESPN can leave their contract for their TV or All services in their bundle with 30 Days notice,

But you only have until the 31st August 2013 to cancel your services and the answer to the question on everyones lips is NO you will not be held to pay the remainder of your contract off!

She advised my to call retention by dialing 150 from Virgin Home Phone and going to the options for Leaving Virgin Media.

This tells me they have given up all hope of getting bt sports anytime soon,150 in the morning and a call to sky on the cards tomorrow.chad muppetman I think I'm starting to believe in better !!!!!

All I will say is everything comes to he who waits!

Entirely possible. Talks shrouded in secrecy have been ongoing for some time now, a decision to let VM wholesale BT Sports has been reached, but the sticking point is price.

From what I was told, VM could not have marketed BT Sports until launch as Bomber said, even if a deal had been struck.

However, as BT Sports did not appear today, it is now clear that an agreement had not been reached and talk of it starting from launch were a tad premature.

I remember a similar situation with a football club channel (can't remember which one, it was possibly Arsenal or Liverpool).

It was the loss of the Sky Basics for NTL customers.
