It certainly would, although I do think we would know by now if that was going to be the case.

However, I must say I didn't realise until reading my TV & Satellite magazine today that the additinal Eurosport channels screening during the Olympics are Virgin exclusives. That's right, they are not on Sky!

Hopefully, this is a sign that Virgin are finally making moves to compete better with Sky and BT on content.

There hasn't been anything to indicate Sky provision - not even any tests were noted.

Anything reliable ;)

Channels are meant to have a 7-day test period on Sky and nothing has yet appeared.

Am I the only whos thinking that if theone2k10 was here, he would be suggesting that VM will be celebrating its 10th birthday with a price rise. :D

Sky prides itself on its sport and has a higher proportion of Sky Sports subscribers than VM (c 60% v 20%) so I'm very surprised they haven't announced they're getting the channels.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2018)

The channels are showing up on the web TV guide now (552 -554).

https://virgintvgo.virginmedia.com/en/tv-guide.html

No sign of any SD versions that BT have, & nothing yet on the V6 boxes.

They are now on the V6 on 552-554.

Checked the channel scans on all the euro satellites & no sign of these channels being uplinked. In fact the only mention of them elsewhere is on UPC cable in Poland & Ziggo in the Netherlands, which I assume will be line-fed as VM is. Probably a case of Sky wanting too much money to carry these channels for this short period. I remember the BBC not putting a Red Button HD channel on Sky a while ago for the same reason.

SKY have confirmed on social media they will not be carrying the additional Eurosport channels. Being greeted by a murmur of discontent.

Not very nice of them failing to put their subscribers first. Glad to see that Virgin and BT have a different mindset.
